Good and fair. Handy no big probs but need to know your DIY all the same. CV boots can be well worn and a NCT fail point very costly and tricky to find tracking arms. Always use you local spanner man. You well be surprised at how far a toyota well go. Over 220K on clock when I let it go and it was still humming away..

excellent car its the wifes car .i have an 06 avensis.find my self taking her car when the 2 of them are in the drive.fair enough not to much toys on board .but as tight as a nut to drive.value for money 10/10.if looking for a second hand one look for a diesel with a few extras on board.when it got serviced toyota gave us a lexus 220 not much in the difference except the power..

was great having a 6 speed box at the start, but no big difference in fuel costs, if on a windy road, have to change gear far too often as the 1.3 engine is not the most powerful. very well equipped car and great handler.

I had this car as a company vehicle for a year. it was the 2006 model but option was unavailable to pick. What I will say is that it was very reliable and fun to drive. It had adequate space for a small family (2 kids) and the boot is roomy too..

If you want reliability, go for one of these cars. I bought mine with 90K on the clock for 2600 pounds 6 years ago. It's now at 182K and it's flying. The only thing I had to replace was the radiator as it was leaking pretty badly at the end. Doing about 40 to the gallon. I do service it at about every 5K miles but I expect it to go to 250K at least. Great value!!!!.

175,000 on the clock and feels like this engine could go on for ever.Gearbox the same. Unreal reliability. The wifes car and I think it looks awful, driving in it makes me nervous and interior is like something Fisher Price thought up of...but she refuses to get rid of it and I can't kill it. Looks like we're stuck with it..

Travelling from Mayo to Cork every week, 500 miles round trip..... this car is indistructable!! Serviced every 4000 miles, this car is very nippy and very capable of beating ANY 1.4L. Have to let it go because i'm wasting money on a petrol with high milege. It's a shame because this car is extremely reliable..

Very reliable, and quite quick for a small engine. Excellent abs brakes, I think people that had problems with the brakes had bad tyres. Good set of bridgestone tyres and you will stop in no time wet or dry..

Bullet proof. Red ones fade terribly, mines now pink in the dry and red in the wet. 125k and still getting 320 to 8 gallons of petrol. Oversteers alot on roundabouts, might be the driver. Almost kid proof..

I have now done 3000 miles in my new 2006 Corolla. What a waste of money. It lacks the whole driving experience, and the performance is very poor for a 1.4. It really is an embarrassment to drive when it doesn’t even have the power to overtake a tractor. The interior is uninspiring and dealer was awful and unprofessional. It seems to me that so much effort has been made in the comfort and safety that the most important part the drive has been severally sacrificed..

these cars are extremely reliable. although a bit expensive only 420 were ever made and only came in red and black. beware of sellers trying to sell other colours as they are not genuine, a common problem as a g6r is the original badges being stolen as they cannot be bought anymore. A quick enough car very efficent on fuel, discs all round as standard 6 disc changer standard toyota 6 spole alloys: a bit small but a matter of taste. Roughly about ten thousand for a ninety but be honest how many have you seen on the road:well original g6rs anyway?.

It was clearly designed for people from the Jurassic period. But I bought it to almost do favour to the very nice dealer. I've had no problems, so far, other than my realisation that I should have bought a Golf Sportline. Both the exterior and interior do little to inspire. The only other Toyota I would buy would be the new Aygo(very cool car)..

It is really economical - much better than the official figures. We've been getting over 45mpg on it, and the figure is rising. I really like the trip computer in the radio, very handy. For a 1.4 petrol it's fairly lively, and the economy is great - especially with rising fuel prices. The interior is solid enough, compared to our last Corolla it feels a lot heavier and better built. No problems whatsoever, and it only had 28,000 miles on it in 3 years when we bought it. Dealer wouldn't budge on price though. It might not be the most exciting car, but it does the job fairly well..

To be honest i was quite impressed by the performance with this car. With 5 valves per cylinder it is able to rev higher which thus gives more power (about 170bhp) and as the second cam kicks in (literly) at 4500rpm and you really feel the power if you keep your foot down. Parts don't seem to be a problem which is surprising concidering its a rare enough car although the Corolla Levin (which is becoming a common sight) has the same engine. I really enjoy this car for so many reasons and would encourage anyone to get one. But maybe in silver or some other colour than black..

I like driving in my car - it's not quite a Jaguar! I bought my 2 owner '93 XLi with 118k on the clock for 1,350 Euro. Toyota say they are the best built cars in the world. I would say they are the most reliable. Body (paintwork)and interior do deteriorate inevitably with time. The only sad bit so far has been a minor scrape which pushed the Toyota sign back an inch on one side, though the car still runs like a dream. Very economical too, in addition to being virtually indestructible mechanically. I would recommend a Toyota to anyone. It must be love, love, love?.

A great car, extremely reliable, but should at least have had a cd player as standard, as at the time {2000} a cd player was standard in even fiestas+puntos! Toyota are quite stingy in general when it comes to extras. (i|m on my 5th Toyota) and it|s my only gripe..

The linea terra is a great car to drive and also very comfortable. Image wise, I also think that the saloon looks a lot better than the corolla hatchback. The size of the car itself makes one feel secure. I have also drove a toyota avensis and apart from the greater power in the avensis, i think the linea terra is on a par with it.

This car is very reliable and is excellent to drive. I have test driven other makes when buying this car and found some of them wanting in this class. I also found the dealer very helpful I would definitely buy another toyota but as i have additions to the family. I will be looking for somthing bigger (Previa or Verso) in the toyota range.

Although this is a rare Luna model for it|s year, the car still has a cheap feeling inside, particularly the seats, which become uncomfortable after about an hour. On the positive side, it|s very reliable, very economical, has acceptable performance and does what|s it|s ultimately supposed to do i.e. always get you from A to B..

192 bhp from a 1.8 is really something!!. Engine|s a real screamer. 8,200 to redline. Below 6,000 rpm is not really that dramatic and you start to wonder where that 28,000 euro went to. But hold on there and you will be rewarded with a firesome punch of power as you scream all the way up to redline. Although there is no turbo or supercharging, there is a small air pump mounted on the engine block and feeds into the inlet manifold, which helps with forced in induction. As for the rest of the car, brakes - fantastic, comfort - great, handling - good but doesnt really match the raucous engine..

3 door Hatch. Great engine, the pick up and overtaking are well beyond 1.4. Used to have a 2.0Li ZX Citreoin and this is nearly as quick! Gears and foot controls are great. Dash & radio pretty good. The only major problem is the seats, each time you let someone in the back they return to the factory setting, cannot be adjusted to your own default. Also they are not very comfortable for long trips, but ok.It|s brill on petrol and good enough cornering. Overall having owned 3 other makes, and driven a lot of others in this class this is best I|ve had. It|s a real goodun..
