its a lovely car to drive, very quick, can b a guzzler if ur heavy footed, but like any other 1.6 if u tahe it handy..

great driving car and a pleasure to own.
The Z3 really is a stunning car. The driver experience, the feel, the finish and the image all combine to make this a real classic. I've never had a car that I was more proud to drive nor a car that I relished driving so much. A word of warning though is that there are a lot of 1.9l, less powerful cars out there and the 2.0l really is a must without getting hit for road tax on the bigger engines..
This was an excellent car. The only reason for selling is due to the fact that I was given a company car. Very happy with it..
Very fast, really comfortable, no problems, all the toys.
Extremely relaible car. Very comfortable, lots of extras. Nice shape. Great visibility. Great road handling good performer..
engine is "bulletproof" so I've been told, never had any problems. Nice acceleration even if it is only 105BHP. Tons of space in the interior and boot. Great car all-round.
WHAT CAN I SAY THE BEST CAR I'VE EVER DRIVEN , OWNED AND BEEN IN BUT BY FROM UK BETTER SPEC AND PRICES. MERC MAIN DEALERS ARE RIP OF FOR REPAIRS. GET PARTS FROM EURO PARTS AND GET A GOOD MECHANIC.
all in all no more reliable than a alfa and ive owned two of them both diesel and same SE spec will buy a jag or merc next BMW never again.
Firstly i dont work for ssangyong and im not preaching propogada but this jeep is a serious bargain 100% great security system for children in the car (It wont unlock any of the door untill the driver wishes to ) Mercedes benz engine and gearbox from the G wagon and E class Merc ie the 2.9 and 2.7 respectivly very comfoy on long drips if you can get over the badge this is a great machine and with windsor motors as dealers its easy to get serivcing and parts only issue i have is that it not great at round abouts its sluggish and with only one turbo in comparison to the likes of the Mitsubishi toyots etc (ie one for moving off and the higher spooling turbo for overtaking) it can take a bit of work to get it up to speed but thats really it quality machine for a really good price.
I bought mine in 2006, it's the last model 2004 and was registared in 2006, great car, really dont want to sell it but have too. Everyone is surprised by the actual space inside!.
perfect and best car so far i have drove in the past 25 years..
Drove from Ireland to Poland and France last summer. Very good drive, comfortable and secure. Good mpg as long as you dont push it too much..
NOT THE MOST COMFORTABLE DRIVE BUT WHAT A BUZZ TO DRIVE...WHAT A BABE CATCHER ... WHAT A MOTOR FOR RALLY W/ENDS...WELL WORTH THE MONEY.
BRILLANT ON DIESEL,GREAT WORK HORSE.
VERY GOOD ON FUEL,BRILLANT TO DRIVE,I WOULDN'T EVEN THINK OF BUYING ANY OTHER TYPE VAN.
Absolute animal when you put the pedal down! seriously fast car, not for the faint of heart!.
great car to drive, lovely sound very comfortable great car for small money 2nd hand.
Loved the car Hate to sell it.
maybe i just had bad luck?!.
brillant car,,,,it a carlos sainz widebody,,,,,looks class,,not many around,u would get plenty of looks,,,.
Very reliable comfortable car..
Good beginner car. Not great for long journeys though. Gets uncomfortable. Drinks petrol in town and on the dual carriageways. useless on motorways.
The absolute dogs bo.......
great handling. Classy understated looks but a very fun drive. Always puts a smile on my face when I touch the accelerator..
Really reliable car, great for first time drivers the main reason for this is the excellent visibilty throughout the car, even my driving instructor said he was going to buy one for this purpose alone. Quite easy on petrol tax and insurance. Not great for anyone with a new baby, hence the reason we are selling ours..
I had the older Clio, then traded up to this and I love this car. It's suprisingly spacious, has a huge boot for a "supermini". Its comfortable & great looking and gets really good MPG. Unfortunately, with a new addition to the family, I need more seats. :(.
excellent value for your money, great resale value.
Great value for money second hand car!.
Very fun car to drive. Decent acceleration. Great looking.
veary nice to drive veary fast and reliabel.
cant fault it , slightly heavy on juice otherwise thumbs up all round !!!!.
great 1st car.. im selling mine today if anyone is interested.
The seat covers are a bit outdated for me..
Beautiful car to drive and very economical to run..
Worth every penny.....
Car was in great condition when i bought it even though there was high mileage. Fantastic engine, powerful & smooth!Money well spent as the car needs very little looking after.
great first car, comfortable, nice to drive and a very nice lookin car, would highly recommend it.
great first car, sweet looking and nice to drive.
very high performance, great car.
Nothing, this is BMW :) PS. Next model in BMW... hmmmmmm 330tdi coupe 2005 - last of "the beautifull" I can say only .... "I'm loving it" :).
Great car, love all the gadgets :).
What I like about the car is the flexability of the back seats, the way in which they fold flat or can lift up inside in the cabin giving lots of space in the cabin..
Quick, Comfortable, Not too heavy on petrol, Reliable..
great car, very quick, superb handling and road holding....
as a family car, absolutely fantastic.both centre consol and glove box chilled, each door hols 1 litre bottle, compartment on drivers door for umberella, excellent boot space. Mechanically, the 2.0 tdi is great to drive, because of the 16v engine above idle very little engine noise, and revs much more freely than the old PD. at 18k miles service and genuine parts very reasonable, its very cheap to run , returning on average 45-50 mpg.Mine is very highly spec'd, only let down here is vw very stingy with standard kit. Highly advisable car to consider.ill buy the same again.
great car.can be elegant and a little spolilers sports..
very comfortable and solid on long journey very economical on diesel great car all round.
It is an excellent city car - only prob is its 1 1l so pedal to the floor to get speed on an open road - its my 3rd micra and dey are 100% reliable.
Is a lovely car, easy to drive..
Best car I ever owned..
same as above.
This is a fun car to drive. It's zippy and really reliable. This was my first Honda and I would definitely buy another..
great car should be test drove by everyone.
would highly recommend this car. excellent car and a miser on petrol. couldnt praise it enuf. All in all an excellent buy.
Just stay away from them..
Excellent car, very relaible, all mod cons excellent value for money.
The Saab 95 Estate is a fabulous car, very spaceous and the leather interior is gorgeous..
The Opel Zafira Looks Like A Van And The Third Row Of Seats Are Very Tight And Are Only Suited To Small Children. I Know That In January I Will Defaintly Be Puting My Name Down For A VOLKSWAGEN TOURAN..
Great engine in these cars, lasts forever.
She|s a beauty.
She|s a beauty.
The car is so reliable - been going for 13 years with only regular servicing needed. It|s even been joyridden!.
Performance is unbelievable and it|s shit cool!!.
The cool factor with the Jimny far outweighs any other problems! It|s fantastic for city driving and really easy to park..
Great fun to drive, very comfortable interior with excellent allround view / driving position. Beatiful car from the outside too. Downside is that she|s quite thirsty...averaging 25 or so mpg..
Take a test drive. You will fall in love at first site/drive. A unique car that gets all the attention.
disco 11 makes disco1 look and feel like a complete pile of crap!gs spec and *ace*(anti-roll)suspension are a must if buying disco 11.disco 11 is truly a fine stylish vechicle.don`t be tempted by bland jap 4x4`s.check out*www.lro.com*,for lots of interesting info.choose dealer with care!.
Golfs are a very reliable, comfortable stylish car to drive..
Superb drive, looks great very functional and you can have great fun in the back up the mountains (so my girlfriend tells me).
Really fast car - seriously. Watch me as I drive by.......
its worth it just for the 3rd gear rush. voom voom.
Very comfortable drive, long distances bring the best out of this car. Would certainly buy another Laguna although would suggest second hand market for value..
The 1900 engine does lack a little punch compared to the larger units available, yet there is plenty to keep up with the Japenese imports! Bliss..
A great Buy, Alot of what makes a porsche great, but at an afordable price, & it can move. It leaves all the boy racers behind..
lovely jeep , pity about the gearbox. aftersales prices are not that great either.
a little expensive to buy new , for the type of refinements that you actually get, other than that its a great car.
Very comfortable and reliable. Safety, 10 out of 10. The 1.8 T is a powerful car. So if you like fast..buy this model.
They don|t make them like they used to.
I never thought it was an eye catching car - but it definitely does exactly as it says on the tin. Would buy this model again .. but a newer version!!!.
If you are looking for comfort ..then this is the one you want. Not so sure about the wood interior on dash etc ... not my cup of tea. All in all though, this really is a great car..
The car is an absolute flier. Nice bit of poke for awkward overtaking maneouvres. 4000 rpm is the kick-in for this 16v engine. Its performance is without question. The Michelin tyres are superb but are not the best wearers. *Street cred* might not be the tops as the 1.4 VTR is similar. Only the 16v badge and Indianapolis wheels are the obvious differences..
Solid as a rock. Has never broken down on the road (xx) as yet and has been trundling for 13 years. It was even nicked and joyridden in Darndale, and its still going!.
Pricey to buy, but everything gets better from there on ! Looks fabulous, drives wonderfully, sounds great, still very few of them on the roads. One problem - if you are near six foot tall or higher, forget it, you won|t fit in ! Cabin is very tight on space. 5| 10* or less, and you|re fine..
Lot of performance for the money. 2.0L Turbo engine not very refined but strong and reliable. Economy OK for what it is (High 20mpgs). Newer model very rare so it has a certain Q-car appeal. Rear wheel drive handling good in the dry, downright dangerous in the wet if you push it. Ride hard but reasonably comfortable (as long as you|re not in the back). Servicing is reasonable. Nissan full service for about €230. Styling nice (I think) until you look the back. The designer must have had a hangover that day. OK, it|s not that bad but could have been a lot better. Somewhat ruins an otherwise attractive auto. Interior trim cheap and rattly, should be better for a car costing what it did. Excellent 2nd hand buy: 2 yr old had lost 40% of new price..

Apart from repairing the ball joints (which was not expensive - L80) I had 3 years trouble-free motoring. An excellent all round car. Beware of older cars with electric hoods, as they can be very expensive to repair (about 12 motors in hood!). Best bet would be to get a manual hood if getting anything over 5 years old (they are also much quicker to take down / put up!). Avoid high mileage cars, unless 1) your fairly handy under the bonnet and 2) you don|t mind having to hold onto it for a long time to get your money|s worth - it|s VERY hard to resell a classy high-miler for decent money..
amazing real world performance and economey..
We are thinking of buying a New Santa see next may 2003 and would like to know what the car is like. Have you had your Santa Fee for nearly a year tell us your experience thanks... David and Ciaragh.
Very comfortable car to drive, especially for long journeys. Very high revving car, great poke in it when overtaking. Very reliable, even in winter, no problems.
Despite the small engine this thing can fairly move if you dont mind reving it hard. And it likes to be reved too. It actually surprises many people how quick it will actually go. The only down side is that if you do drive it hard the brakes tend to heat up and it suffers from lots of brake fade. Can be a bit loose at the front too as the suspension is a bit soft causing it shift centre of gravity a lot.
lovely to drive, good looking car, fuel economy is not great, very silent v6, comfortable interior, very cheap to buy and as you would expect not great resell value. If you do get one, things to consider are 1. standard suspension gives a very comfortable ride, but on a performance car is too soft. 2. Power steering is very smooth so takes some of the fun away. 3. cars can be chipped which improves low-midrange power by c. 10% - depating the worth of this at the moment. 4. The is not a boy racers car, more a powerfull goodlooking cruiser. 5. Alterations to the body style typically take away from the car..
You may think that the Rover 416 or 400 series is not the best car on the road to buy or look at especiallay after the problems I have had with the car. Luckily enough it was not expensive to fix any of the problems I had with the car as it was done by my brother and I. But for the ordinary motorist who needs reliability and wishes to use the car for short to medium journeys I would definetley not recommend this car. For the long journeys the car does definetley seem to perform best but with the 1.6 engine you would not want to be to worried about petrol costs as with most Rover engines they seem to have a low gear ratio which in turn makes the engine rev the bit higher than the average 1.6 engine. This in my opinion could well be the reason for poor engine reliability, It revs about 3000 RPM for only 60MPH making it a responsive but expensive car to run. But in defense to Rover I have to say that they really know how to make a comfortable car and ergonomically layed out for both driver and passengers with its big chucky steering wheel, comfortable seats and pleanty of head room for us slighty taller drivers. If only they could bring their engine up to scratch and perhaps they could pay mnore attention to the vunerability of the car to rust. Perhaps they have sorted out these things but for me I must say I don|t think I will be racing to my nearest Rover dealer to find out, think I will wait a while to see how the new 45 pans out..
Class Car Reliable stylish and very under estimated..
this is the best car in its class bar none. if you are buying new get the winter pack you get the heated seats and headlight washers and heated windscreen washers.the seatsare great on a cold winter morning to keep your bum warm. I would buy another golf but i would buy a tdi for better performance.
in general it has been a good car with little to complain about, but for some unknown reason it drinks engine oil, it also uses syntethic oil the car like most german marques is very badly equiped, and hence is bad value for money. the main reason that i would not buy another is lack of v.w. dealers..
fantastic car, surprisingly economical with steptronic, totally reliable, needs all the extras(leather,A/C auto, etc) to be woth the money though. Found it a litle too soft for fast motorway driving..
Our family have had numerous Nissan|s and not one single problem arouse with any of them and if here was a problem with the car we did not know till the garage informed us with a letter and there was a prompt replacement service.
Solid car with sound resale values.1.4 may not be the quickest but is comfortable and and relaxing on a long run. Golfs seem to age more slowly than most..
Very good reliable car but could have more standard equipment, i.e CD player..
This is our second Brava. Its very roomy for its class. The rear can easily accomodate 3 adults while the boot space is as good as many bigger cars. The 16v engine on the 1.2 SX is very lively good for overtaking etc. Long jouneys can be done in comfort. Standard radio/tape is excellent and the car is already wired for a CD changer in the boot. Just plug |n play..
Very good value for money. Excellent boot space and legroom in both front and back of car..
Great value for money. Performance is outstanding and reliability is second to none..
The privious 156 I owned was a 1.8 Sportivo and is substantially faster but the 1.6 is still quicker than most other car makes..
great street cred.
Lovely looking car but parts and insurance makes it expensive car.
Love the Car 1.4 is not powerful enough for such a heavy car.
Excellent car for first time insurance. Utterly reliable and you can leave it anywhere. No image means no one wants to steal or damage it. Economical if driven normally. Can move when it wants to with it|s 16v twin cam engine..
Overall a very good spacious car with very good performance for a 1.1 Litre engine, put problems down to high milage 85K - now selling to buy another fiat, this time a brava.
all in all I would have to say the focus is an amazing car,A little underpowered but the unbelivably handeling makes up for it..
Dealers could be better - a lot better! Despite this I|ll buy another next year.
Very Sturdy Relibale Car.
very good car.
Should go for a 1.6l engine as the 1.4 is a little underpowered. in general an excellent car and it has to be a 3 door version, it is designed to look its best as a 3dr..
Very good MPG may not be the quickest on the road but more than makes up for it with the gas mileage. Performance would be that of a 1.1 petrol but the ecconomy blows that away. Handles well for a small car and parts are cheap because their actually Fords..
A modern classic. Although this makes 2nd hand ones now as expensive as they would have been a few years ago, for a good example..
Excellent car, very under-rated, only negative comment is a little too much wind noise at and above the legal limit..
A dream - she|s my first car and having since driven many types of cars in the same |small| car market - she is real value for money. No problems at all, always reliable and very economic for petrol, tax and insurance. She is a passenger and driver car only and not entirely suitable for the family or excess passengers but again it suited my needs as a learner driver. A 5* choice for the first buy!.
Pulls very well in top gear up hills. Good adjustment of steering wheel for height & reach, same with the seats. Plenty of room inside & in the boot.Good space around the engine .Solid all round feel to the whole car..
A great car, the best car I have ever had. My only reason to sell it would be to upgrade to the new Almera, (which I won|t be doing for a while yet ).
Stylish and sporty exterior is compromised by lack of drive..
Too easy to steal. I even live on the southside..
Seems to hold great appeal for car thieves. Would probably buy a micra or yaris next time..
Very nice car, pity they don|t make it anymore!Much nicer and better built than Focus, nicer to drive, sporty looking and enjoyable..
Shocked at the cost of servicing!!!.
Even though it is 4 years old it looks like new which is testament to the quality of car. Would buy one again without hesitation..
Progressing from a Golf Gti into a pure sports car was a great move. If you can endure the high insurance open top driving makes it all worth while. The MX-5 is a very low car (2inches lower than a TT) so it|s not for everyone but the low centre of gravity gives superb handling - it|s leagues ahead of most Gti|s. It|s not the fastest car in either 1.6 or 1.8 but it does feel feel fast so even speed freaks will get the required feel good factor. It will be very hard to go back to a car with a roof!.
i like the handling of the car, comfort, solid feel, great stereo. i dont like the lack of ABS as standard, otherwise a great car allround..
The term babe-magnet was invented for this machine. The sexiest thing ever to be made from metal. The only negative aspect of the car is Audi never brought out a Sun Yellow version!.
Cant beat it. Looks, performance and very solid engineering. If you have a 4 cylinder 318Ci dont try this - you will trade in. The new 2.2 in the 320Ci means that a 325 or even a 330 is only necessary if you have spare money to light cigarettes with. But if you get a leather interior look after it - you do not want to think about what repairs/replacement cost..
Randles Bros, Killarney & Tralee are the best people to do business with when buying a Nissan. They treat all their customers the way all car sales people should..
previous experience on mondeos watch out for faulty sensor on braking system..
Poor leg room in back. Steering a bit light at times built in radio - no choice of changing.
I hate the car, and would never get a Nissan again. It|s unstylish, unreliable and an excuse for a car and I have dubbed it the wheel barrow!.
The Colt had been recommended to me by friends who previously owned Colts. The car was to be aneconomical car. However, my experience does not confirm this. Due to its *sporty* appearance, you are very likely to become the victim of car theft, which we experienced at first hand!!!.
Very Reliable, not overly exciting but solid. Steering can be a bit light at times.
I would like to get a new Escort but they are obselete now, pity!.
Solid well built, modern and stylish..
This is an awesome piece of machinery. The first time I floored it in 2nd, while the Rev|s reached 5000 the Grrrrrrrrr changed to Rooooaaar as the Vtec cut in to catapult me up to 60 mph and 7500 rpm before dropping it into 3rd... and I will say no more.... This is a fun car, but very responsive. no-scares in 2 yrs of owning it. Where ever you point it, that|s where it will go. ---- GET ONE ----.
Very nice car, pity they don|t make it anymore!Stylish, sporty and better built than Focus..
It|s minging so nobody will steal it.It|s got it|s own anti-theft system it mings and so is perfectly safe because it certainly wouldn|t be any good for joyriders. It|s not up to standard for a new car.My last car was a 1998 fiesta and I wish I had it back, its like a merc compared to this stupid Micra..
mechanically excellent, great safe steady driving platform.
this car is a fantastic drive.the handling is really exceptional, although the detuned 90bhp version of the cooper engine is not strong enough for the high gearing on the new MINI(approx 73mph at 3000rpm in 5th). i cant complain though as, if only the 115bp model were available, younger drivers like myself could not insure it!! dont even consider buying a MINI ONE without Salt pack, which gives the alloy coloured dash, fog lights, and a host of interior detail improvements. the 1st service is a real eye opener, 280 euro for oil and filter is a disgrace!!!.
Needs to be tuned by a special computer.if buying one, know where you can get this done !.
Best car I have ever driven. Why pay extra for a *designer* brand?.
Stylish and yet sensible!.
very comfortable car, fairly sluggish, not great on fuel, very dated looking, very well equiped inside and out, although electrics are causing trouble..
it|s an all round great car.
This is a great car. Looks great and handles like a dream. Fuel economy is good and the interior is sweet as far as Sports coupes go..
Great value for money for a sporty soft top. Always get a look when polished up. The hard top is ideal for winter and makes the car practical all year round. When shopping around for one, the irish cars appeared to be better value as re-sale for japanese imports seemed to be quite difficult..
Mazda dumbed down the 626 following the 1992-7 model. They made it blander and this car suffers from that lack of excitement. That being said, this is my 4th 626 and I have held onto this one longer than any of the others - so they must have done something right! This car is good for 300k, is lively, economical and safe. Anyone looking for a good second family car should look no further. I won|t buy another, but only because I need an MPV now!.
This is THE only car any human should drive. i have mine just over a year now , it drives like a dream ,a really fast dream . looks great feels great and not many have em cos they cost a bomb to insure.Only problem i have is finding good service mechanics for them and spare parts ,extras and service parts , but in fairness it is ireland and we are always centuries behind everyone else. I dont care im moving to the UK and where i will be living there is a japanese modification centre.SWEET. I,ll be back when my car is 100% modified but i wont be driving it on our crappy roads unfortunately..Slan go foill..
An absolutely fantastic all round car. A real driver|s car. Only downside is that it makes you crave for the new 318Ci..
The Toyota Supra Twin Turbo has the ultimate in perfomance and driving excellence..
nice car to drive.if a little over priced.
I drove one of these on the backroads of Donegal last summer and I was mighty impressed. It looked bland on the outside despite the Rover type chrome grill on the front, but underneath the bonnet this 1.6 was mad for action. I thought it was possibly the easiest and most relaxing car I|ve ever driven. If the image could be made more BMW / Saab and less Nissan /Toyota they would sell these like hot cakes..
Very quick with the older 144bhp 1.8 engine. Handling suberb, especially when lowered, however original suspension set-up is already heavy on tire wear so expect to spend on tyres/brake pads etc. Interior build quality not as good as German & Jap rivals, obviously. Exterior quality much better than older Alfa|s. If you don|t mind little niggling faults and like embarrasing BMW 316/318 and some 320 drivers at the lights then this car is one of the best value second hand deals on the market.
Once one thing went wrong with this car, the problems just spiralled out of control. I would never buy another Fiat again..
Excellent preformance and handling, let down by build quality. To many cabin noises.
The interior is a bit lame on the standard model, and the seats are too soft (esp long journeys). On the other hand, the radio system is excellent (with stalk on steering column) the performance is very good, the gear ratios are perfect around town, and not bad on long journeys (as long as you are not afriad of flooring it!) - visibility is also excellent, much better than saloon models..
All the quality and reliability of a Volkswagen, for a fraction of the costs. This is my second Seat, and I would definately go Seat again. For the comparable VW, with all the extras my Ibiza has as standard, not only costs more, but also looks more staid and less sporty..
Bit sluggish but a great all rounder. Would find it hard to change to another car type..
Real deal - excellent value second hand - comfortable, fast, excellently put together.
The car is an excellent performer and is quite simply the most stylish car in its class. 3dr.
a nippy car that handles well.
THE CAR IS EXSPENSIVE, BUT THIS IS BECAUSE OF OUR TAXES, BUT VALUE WITHOUT THESE TAXES IS EXCELLENT, AS THE CAR LOOKS FAR BETTER THAN ANY FAMILY OR SMALL CAR ON OUR ROADS, AND WILL OUTLAST ANY CAR IN PRODUCTION.IT|S LOOKS ARE FAR SUPERIOR TO ALOT OF TACKY BOY RACER CARS , WHICH TENDS TO SELL CERTAIN CARS, BUT THEY WILL ONLY LAST MAYBE 15 -20 YEARS..
This was my second Mondeo as I found them to be an excellent drivers car. A good family saloon it is safe and reliable. I had no problems with either car, but was shocked and disgusted with the Ford dealers of Ireland when attempting to trade the car. 4 out of 5 Ford dealers offered me less that non-Ford dealers were willing to give me with only the dealer where the car was bought willing to match my best offer albeit reluctantly. I would never buy a Ford again and find their approach to their customers less than satisfactory..
exellent value for money not as thirsty as some might think.
dont buy one.
Great car, love it!!!.
Lovely sporty car.
One thing you can|t accuse the SAAB of is being dull. The styling- love it or loathe it- is distinctive and that|s a plus in this age where must cars are indistinguishable. In the standard 2.0i format, the car is very swift and will easily outrun a BMW of equivalent size and age (a 1998 Beemer 318 was a 1.9 which was undertuned). That said the BMW is a little smoother and quieter. As a driver|s car, the SAAB|s tendancy to understeer is no more dramatic than the rear driven BMW|s tendancy to oversteer- so take your pick. Equipment levels are very high compared to other cars at the same price point- including climate control and CD player. The conclusion? If you|re looking for something individul, highly specified and swift- and don|t mind the high servicing costs- it could be for you..
0-100Kph in 5.2 Seconds 30-100Kph in 3.1 Seconds 36MPG Comfortable, Loads of boot space. Aerodinamically beautifull..
Inspite of problems listed above the car is fantastic, auto transmisson is great, aircon is brill, leather is very easy to keep and adds a touch of class. M.P.G. varies from 31.3 to 35.2 which i think is very good considering all the car has. Only thing that dissapointed was the boot, its small compared to my old Audi A6..
This car has 90k on it after 6 years and I have to say that its performance would encourage me to buy another Rover. It has always been reliable. Only problems are image and depreciation. Dealer service has been excellent..
VERY RELIABLE, EASY ON PETROL AND FARILY NIPPY..
This is a great car despite everybody|s first reaction to the maker. Its great on petrol and really fun to drive..
Great car, totally reliable.
Big, comfortable, cheap (due to rapid depreceation), enjoyable to drive. I|d definitely buy another one..
The Fiat Marea is a fun car to drive but owning one is like experiencing every car ownership nightmare you have ever heard. My one lost over 50% of its value in 18 months which ment I couldn|t afford to sell it. Subsequentely I have owned it for the past 4 years and believe me most Formula One cars spend less time in the Garage than my Fiat Marea..
The car is ideal for someone starting off, but after that i|d reccommend change it..
An absolute dinger. Looks good and goes like it looks..
Very strong mid range performance, handling excellent, comfort good.Economic and solidly built. Not great rearward visibility when raining in saloon, otherwise I couldn|t fault it..
Love it. Very responsive, the slightly larger engine has a nice kick. Spacious. Several little extra features, has everything you need..
Great lovely car..
I wish they still made it..
I would NOT consider buying another Megane again..
Very comfortable seating position and a great feeling of safety on the road.
Very comfortable seating position and a great feeling of safety on the road.
superb handling, allways attracts looks from envious boy racers in there boring civics and there elephant gun exhausts!!!.
I would never buy a Fiat again.
do not buy do nnnnnnnnnnot buy.
Not impressed with dealers; pricing of services, complete lack of focus on customer support.
Overall great car. Great road holding..
An absolutely great car. Well worth owning and great fun to drive. I have a 1.6 4WD and it is great over rough roads. It handles like a hot hatchback and is stuck to the road. I do not think I will ever buy a non japanese car again..
Fair play to Joey but obviously he has lower standards than me.As hey say |each to their own|.
Big, fast, with great features such as leather, climate control. The car costs about half the price of its German Counterparts. Also very advanced safety wise for its year with abs, twin airbags etc that are only starting to filter out now on most new cars..
I drove the old model 156 and just got my new 156 a couple of months ago,How do you make perfection better? Only Alfa have the answer!!.
Hard suspension makes car a little uncomfortable going slowly on Irish roads. At speed it smoothens out. A little lethargic below 5500 rpm, compared to above it. Apart from that, excellent. Practical but still thrilling, esp. cornering and acceleration. Also mechanically perfect. Never any problems.
Very reliable car.Good fun to drive. Should be more of them on the road ,1.6 in the shadow of the hotter models .Insurance a bit high ,but I|d rather take the hit than go without. Willdefintly buy another a late model 2.0 old shape ..
very high depreciation but very comfortable.
For a car this expensive new not to get an alarm as standard is a bit joke as they are so easy to break into as I found out to my expense. The car is directed towards young 20 somethings who if like me decide to start a family will find the car is totally too small. Apart from this the car is one of the best I|ve driven for performance and handeling from a standard out of the showroom spec|ed cars..
THE LACK OF LOW ENGINE TORQUE IS A SET BACK BUT CRUISING PERFORMANCE IS AS GOOD AS A GTI. VERY ECONOMICAL TOO FOR 1.8.
For a 1.6...where where else would you get 160+BHP , and all those electrical extras..
For the money you can|t beat it, I love it to bits and my next car will be another.
This car really is the ultimate driving machine. Not to mention that it turns heads and attracts all the right types of ladies!! Worth ever penny, no doubt about that. Don|t bother with the soft-top, but do get the sun roof - when it|s open, it may as well be a convertible, and you|ve saved yourself ten grand..
Very comfortable, drives well, looks well...GREAT!!!.
I will never again buy a Punto or go near a Fiat....
very very comfortable, fairly economical, dont be expecting to catch any gti|s, brilliant on corners. excellent brakes. understated looks..
Selespeed is brilliant, all the fun without a clutch!!! can also put it into fully automatic mode in city. This car is very fast, compared to a previous 130bhp 2.0 audi i used to have. My biggest problem is depreciation, the market is becoming flooded with second hand alfa|s and dealers are not prepared to offer book price...hey even a main alfa dealer didnt bother to give me a price after calliing twice and ring a few times...so there you go, once you buy one your stuck...but its a buzz to drive. I flogging mine as we speek, andbuying another audi.
The Car Handles like a dream, but the 1.6 is under powered. For long journeys the Car is Fab 38 MPG and total comfort. But you have to be careful when over taking as the power isnt there. Ive done 25,000 miles in mine and the rattles are slowly creeping in, but not too bad. The biggest problem I had with my car was when I went to get new tyres. Wait for it folks 1040 euros for 4 new tyres. But overall I would buy another one but I reckon it would be the 1.8 or even the 2.2 v6 if the insurance wasnt crazy..
the boot space could be bigger for a car pof this size.
Although the Xsara doesn|t set the world on fire, it is an extremely good car to drive. It gives excellent value for money in the fuel stakes and is well built for everday driving. This is my second Citroen and I would not hesitate buying the next generation Xsara..
t would|nt pull you out of bed- really needs a decent engine but handling is fantastic. Comfort isnt great, especially on 4+ hour journey..
this model has had nothing but problems. is this a one off. or is it due to changes made to the tacuma model when daewoo introduced the 1.6 model. is it normal to lose 7000 euro after 6months with 8000 miles on clock.
drivers seat could be more supportive and comfortable.
Very Comfortable, good ecomny (avg 43mph). good luggage space and great long distance car. Lacks performance when needed you really have to work the gears when you want to get places..
brilliant car - amazing off road performance. very noisy above 55mph.
The second generation Honda Integra is a great car. The Vtec has great acceleration and makes a lovely engine note when the Vtec kicks in. It produces 170 Bhp from a 1.6 and is cheaper to insure than the newer model. I prefer it|s looks to the 3rd generation and the interior is far nicer. The 3 door is very pratical, can seat 4 adults and has loads of boot space with the rear seats up or down. It certainly has a WOW factor, people always ask what it is and love it|s looks..
It is an extremely comfortable car. I would always buy Mitsubishi - they come with a full 3 year guarantee and are very reliable..
Feels like it will last forever. Driving quickly and safely could not be more stress-free..
Very smooth drive, a pleasure. Had 318is before this model which had about 25 more horses. Miss that extra bit of power and can|t afford a 323ci yet. Other than that chassis, gearbox, comfort, driving position all excellent. Get the leather sports seats if possible, much better than standard seats...... and although I didn|t buy it to attract women.... she is definitely a Fanny Magnet!.
Very good alternative to BMW 5 series and looks better but the chassis and steering are not as good.
An excellent car, lots of room, after driving a Previa for the last two years, I find that the Sedona is much more solid on the road, and whne lightly loaded doesn|t get blown around as much. Seating system excellent, and very easy to change, though I am disappointed that the middle seats no longer have the rear facing option..
Its a great car, I need say no more..
I have driven Toyota most of my 15 years of driving. If only u could buy a Ford with a Jap engine,it would be the perfect car. Ben! How can u score an 8 on Reliability on a new car u have had no problems with? Its a good car but needs more craftsmanship to the finer details.Value 4 money low because the car can be bought cheaper in all other Countries..
Fantastic engine, very comfortable.
Nasty, cheap, poor handling, over assisted power steering, tinny, plasticky interior. Thank god it|s the wife|s car! She likes it however..
I like it, well built, fairly stiff suspension and seats, a bit noisy on motorway (tyre and wind noise) nippy enough. Interior a bit dark and not much in the way of luxuries! no c/l, e/w, Strangely enough comes with e/m, once set, never used!.
Totally Relieable, Safe, but impossible to Customize..
Much better performance than earlier models. The biggest problem I have with this car was the poor resale value. This put me off Ford when replacing. I must admit though that the newer 2001 onwards model is very impressive..
These cars are completely under-rated. They have fantastic handling (post 95) and great performance. They are cheap because they have a bad reputation (because of the troublesome pre-96 models). They have a great design and because they are so rare on the roads they are quite exclusive. I have loved them since the BTCC season of |94 and I finally got around to buying a good clean one, and I have to say if I|d known what it would be like to drive an Alfa I|d have bought one sooner. Absolutely gorgeous car that oozes class. Remember to buy the wide-body version though. It has uprated suspension, sharper steering rack and a better more aggressive look with the flared front arches. Buy one of these and you wont regret it. Do NOT go to the main dealer with any problems though as they will charge you through the nose for even the smallest thing. Do not go to any old mechanic either, as Alfa|s are a different animal to your normal car. Get a sympathetic Alfa mechanic and become friendly with him, and you|ll never have a worry. If you look after the car properly (regular servicing) you will not have trouble..
Its a ball of dung.
A very reliable, comfortable & stylish car!My father, sister & myself drive |00 Golf|s & we all agree that no matter how long the journey you always get out of the car feeling fresh as a daisy! The car comes well equiped & has ample performance for the size of engine. To sum it up,a great car for its size & great value for money..
this is a very good reliabel car it has comfert and style all in one. it looks like a very nice car standard but with a bit of money can look really cool.
Dealer service is terrible I was told I needed new ignition coils and a new exhaust box by my Peugeot Dealer when I got a second opion they weren|t needed not great PR for Peugeot !!.
Great power, but you need to switch off the automatic stability control system (on dry roads), to get the most from the engine. The extra 2 cylinders make all the difference on the long streches, but you really need to get some revs up for reasonable city driving. Lovely drive, precise and light power-steering, but big oversteer without ASC. Amazing breaking in all conditions, but the front passenger wil feel the Gs!.
This car is well maintained, taxed till end of Oct, Driver Airbag, Cobra alarm- it even beeps if you haven|t closed your door properly. Immaculate interior. CD player and alloy wheels what more could you ask for! A GREAT BUY . One careful lady owner who is saving to buy a house, Legimiate excuse!.
Apart from the steering & that it rolls at bit on cornering (compared to the older model but I am sure to get used to) I would rate this car as like driving a Merc but without the price tag. It feels & is big, spacous, & comfortable with enough power to pass on long trips - Sound system excellent, a real car for a long journey, but very disappointed with initial problems..
One of the findest sports cars made which can be driven daily. Performance and handling surperb next purchase a Turbo.
Joey and Esmond I don|t believe either of you, your comments are identical, seems like a marketing spin to me..
The features in the car are amazing - lots of gadgets to play with. Having driven a number of MPVs I have to say this comes top of the list for power, comfort and finish..
The 4.0 litre engine is a dream, smoother and quiter than the 3.2 but uses the same amount of fuel. Definitely the one to buy. The sovereign model has every extra bar a sunroof as standard..
very underated superb chassis better value than 3series/c class.
Beautiful car to drive and classic/practical design.
very reliable. expensive second hand buy but no cost on repairs or no engine problems afterwards.
all round good car, very reliable so far despite the bad name.
The back seats are very small.
ideal family car.
Great loiw down performance and at heart is a cruiser rather than a pure bred sportscar - for driver pleasure very responsive and more tyhan enough control and power for irish roads.
Not pleasant to drive, because it|s so sluggish - but otherwise fine..
Unbeatable specification and performance for the money, especially used. Looks and sounds great. Can|t fault it..
The sporty version of the VW Polo, this car is great fun to drive. It is responsive, and the 1.4 engine provides plenty of power for a car of its size. There is a surprising amount of space inside and it is pretty comfortable. The ride is quiet and solid, due to the VW influence, as is the build quality. You get a lot more car for your money compared to VW, as well as a sportier look. If Seat ever get their hands on an equivalent to the Golf, there will never be a need to buy a VW again..
Very comfortable car both around the city and on long drives. Suprisingly easy on fuel, lovely drive, nice handling, dealer service excellent.
The first car I|ve had that I willbe buying the same again..Tows my boat like a dream,Kids have fun and AVERAGE 52 mpg from my HDi I have looked around in the Jeepy range and as well as being dearer they have not as much room..
Bought it new in January this year, so it has the improved engine. It|s now a 2.0 litre and the BHP has gone up also. That extra power is noticeable with regards to the pre-2002 models. Aircon is now standard. A superb car, so reliable and elegantly styled, wonderful drivers position and a huge boot to go with it! It|s expensive, but worth it, it|s my first Beemer and I|m really impressed with it..
Great off-road performance from soft sand to hillclimbing, that|s where the diesel|s torque, low range and LSD really do their bit. Exellent value for money if you compare the price to other similar 4x4|s..
nice design but this is about it.
Do not ever get one. the after sale value on these is dramaticly cheap. I paid €2023.00 and was offerd by the place of purchase €15000 after six weeks of purchase..
This car is extreamly solid and feels very safe and comfortable to drive..
Wonderful small car, perfect for around town, very easy to park. The five door version is ideal for anyone with kids, very spacious interior..
This car is a joke. Do not by a rover unless it is given to you for free..
Great look. Interior with leather looks great too. Good performances but next will be the 2.0 Turbo....
Fantastic to drive and extremely Comfortable.
IT|s BIG, engine has tremendous torque, very capable off road and on motorway, however very bouncy on hard uneven surfaces such as most minor roads in ROI..
Good looks, comfortable and good on petrol...what more could a woman ask for!.
3 door Hatch. Great engine, the pick up and overtaking are well beyond 1.4. Used to have a 2.0Li ZX Citreoin and this is nearly as quick! Gears and foot controls are great. Dash & radio pretty good. The only major problem is the seats, each time you let someone in the back they return to the factory setting, cannot be adjusted to your own default. Also they are not very comfortable for long trips, but ok.It|s brill on petrol and good enough cornering. Overall having owned 3 other makes, and driven a lot of others in this class this is best I|ve had. It|s a real goodun..
very good car.
Nice car, heart loves it, head says stay away from it..
Excellent car good comfort excellent equipment levels and very understated not in your face like the others..
This car is very fast, handles quite well but bottoms out on bumpy roads quite easily, so take it easy on the country roads!!.
I was told I would have problems with the car if I did not keep up the service commitments which I did but I have had nothing but trouble , maybe just bad luck but the aftercare is the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with and I will never by a Fiat again no matter how cheap ..
Could do with a bit more power..
Good car - loads of space, got a very good deal price wise. Very sporty looking..
Very good for performance, not confort or extras!.
This car has unbeatable fuel economy for the performance it offers at 0-60 6.5sec. The car is built around the driver and is a real sports coupe, this is a fun car to be enjojed and loved!.
Reliable and inexpensive..
A very impressive car to drive even in the 1.8 form. Best Coupe for people that want it all, solid build quality, coupe styling with room for 4 adults in comfort.....Fast and Fun!.
Handling and acceleration to shame many sports cars expecially on bad roads. Interior is a bit dated and cabin is small..
Very comfortable car but does drink petrol and has a tendancy to slide out at the back going around corners because of its length. Extremely comfortable car on long journeys and nothing wrong with power at higer speeds..
Handles well with little body twist. Rear wheel drive and the fact you are sitting above them make for a traditional roadster feel, exciting, thrilling and inspiring. However a bigger engine would be more suited to this car. Watch out for the Z4 next year which is going to date the Z3. You|ll find plenty of cheap Z3s around by that time. Good car but comming to its end..
Smashing car. Phenomenal road holding and pretty spritely too. It is very thirsty though. Amazing cruising ability - silent at high speeds..
Car is too heavy for the 1.6 powerplant. Disappointed a 1.8 did not make an appearence. Pedal offset makes the driving position a little uncomfortable on long journeys. GTA looks an evil proposition....
Excellent small MPV, ideal for around town & school runs. Not too many around, so it draws attention. Very happy.
My 3rd new Focus and the best so far. The 1.6 Zetec is an ideal blend of style, performance, handling, ease of ownership and economy. In my opinion the best car in it|s class by a distance..
A pleasure to drive.
Sex on wheels!.
Loads of room in the back seat!!.
Reliable and solid car. Roomy, quiet interior with good stereo. Comfortable drive with plenty of willing horses under the bonnet. And the horses run economically too..
Have had it for nearly a year now and wouldn|t change it for the world. It|s quirky, reliable and very powerful..
A pity about the residuals, makes the car less appealing to own, but unquestionably reliable, fantastic MPG, nippy enough, overall a solid car to own..
What can I say *CR*P* *SH$T* *RUBBISH* buy one and you will understand BE WARNED.
holds road well, looks good, not many extras, not most comfortable car, boring drive really, boot central locking a bit dodgy.
Probably the fastest non turbo car you can buy for under 5000.
Very poor against the previous generation. I have had 3 previous pajeros and could never fault them. This model drives like a boat. Very poor handling and build quality. Beware of this model !!!.
A Good car being let down by bad service.
Overall performance is excellent. You are getting what you pay for. Only thing is that I had to install an entire new handbrake system. Dont be fooled by dealer saying this was a known issue and resolved by a recall in 2001 as it was after the recall that I still had to pull the handbrake system out . Other than that everything is a dream . Really handles water well at speeds up to 30mph , most cars will be envious of travelling up river at that speed without wobbles..
A true sports saloon, hard and firm and handles like a sled on rails..
Good to drive. Powerful. Well equiped.
This is a super car with great performance and relatively good economy. I would definitely recommend it..
The interior of the car is smaller than expected. Comfort and safety are strong points with the car. Not enough strage space in the cabin. Beautiful engine and drivetrain.
Car is jap-import and I bought it with 32k miles on clock. Being almost 11 years old and only had to change a clutch cylinder so far, not too bad I think. Vtec engine is excellent. After 5000 revs, vtec cuts in and produces beautiful note from exhaust with kick to match. Looks are top class and interior looks great but no lights on doors around e/w controls can leave you guessing where they are at night. There not too common a sight which adds to the ownership. Tax and insurance are ridiculous. Mildly economical if you keep the revs down, but you dont buy this car to keep the revs down!!!.
Well built, near VW quality. 1.8 20 valve a good mover but a little thursty, Best looking of the VW group (Bora, Skoda Octovia). Good kit available with the signum pack electric everything, ABS, 6CD player, computer, etc. but no A/C or sunroof. re-sale value has put me off another one but if your going to keep it for more than 6 years then its a good enough buy..
A real driver|s car that loves to be driven hard and lets you know with that beautiful engine noise..
Great in the wet weather but a bit sluggish at higher speeds.
The name says it all SUPERB!. 20yrs ago I was slagged for driving Alfas until I got a 156, now the slaggers are driving them. I changed the 156 for a Skoda Superb 1.8T in June, I wonder how long it will take them to cop on to the fact that I am years ahead of them again. You must test drive one of these cars, better than the Passat by miles and so spacious. 8000 miles and getting better all the time too. Dealer very effecient and co-operative but I dont think I will need to visit them too often! This is a real Q car with something for everyone in the family. Watch the numbers on the road grow rapidly and remember where you heard it first. Superb!.
I got a yellow one and I think the car looks great, its perfect for someone who is looking for something different. It also goes quite fast (Once you get on the motorway!) perfect for little girl racers like myself!! I would also love to recomend RYANS ROVER GARAGE IN BLANCHARDSTOWN where I have recieved brilliant service from Clarke and any of the rest of the lads there, so much so i have already put in my order for my |03 car from them!.
Great car.couple of little problems but great performance.Once on the move will give most cars a run for their money..
I had a 2001 A4 2.0 petrol, had a brief spell with a few pther card this year and ended up buying a new tdi. Cover over 20k a year, heard good things about the 130 tdi, and am not disappointed. The tdi leaves the 2.0 petrol (also 130bhp) well behind, in terms of torque there is no match, the tdi is streets ahead. There is so much power on tap, you learn to surf the torque, it isi massively competent. On top of that drive 660 miles for 70 ltrs and you cant go wrong. I was a confirmed petrol head but will never buy one again....

Best made let by anyone anywhere. More power than I can use. Fast and easy to drive.Very good milage for the size of car ,long run up to 32 miles and around town 15-17 miles. this is good..
All in all, its been a fun and safe car to drive. Great overtaking power and it certainly receives many enviable glances. Thouroughly enjoying it. No major problems with it. Not many of them around, unique little find..
beautiful engine tight chassis on corners, great car..
just what i want if i could get my hands on one.
Cracking ride & handling, yet performance on the 1.6 is not awe inspiring. Variable power steering gives a meaty, communicative feel and changing gears is generally fuss free. Lots of gadgetry adorn the XT model, the on board computers are superb, one will even calculate your service intervals depending on your driving style, and with a standard 20K service interval maintainence costs are kind to the pocket. The XT also has remote central locking (incl. electric window shut) automatic climate control, electric mirrors, auto wipers, auto lights, ABS, EBD, 6 air bags and the CD Stereo is aided with remote stalk controls. One little gripe is that almost half of the glove box space is taken up with a monsterous fuse box, although it is air conditioned, and there is piles of storage space elsewhere. The interior is neat and functional, with nice tactile surfaces, but build quality is marginally suspect. If you want Peugeot accessories, and are lucky enough to find them in stock, my advise is to steer away from the moulded mudflaps (especially the rear ones) as the car tends to bottom out on them on an uneven road, and if they get torn off they can do heavy damage to wheel arch liners. All in all a superb motor and in my opinion the benchmark for its class..
Reliable, easy to handle car, nippy aswell.....
Probably the most lively diesel engine on the market before the 130 bhp vw golfs. However where will you buy a golf tdi for less than ten thousand..
Great looking small coupe - affordable insurance for the young driver as the engine is only 1300cc..
Excellent car. Averaging 34 mpg,it proves economical. Great road handling,a great family car and if you want a sports car and dont want to sacrifice comfort, this car leads the market. Previously drove an E300,this car is a much superior car in all aspects..
Interior beginning to rattle and sqweak. Seats are hard - sit on them rather then in them. Fuel Economy is great - constantly over 60mpg. Not alot of ground clearance - grounds out over rough roads. Solid heavy car. Not a looker but a hard worker.
Very nice car, feels like it should belong in a different class. Residual values are amongst best on the market. Next car will be Golf TDi 150!.
The 206 is a lovely car, the interior is a lot more refined than cars in and above its class. The drive is somewhat sluggish, possibly because it is a large enough car compared to its engine size - though the handling is excellent. The driving position is not ideal, as it is hard to see much more of the bonnet than the windscreen wipers. Overall, the 206 is a well built car, equally comfortable in traffic and on an open road..
A samrt little car. Plenty of room up front, but on the occassion when back seat passangers were travelling (or heaven forbid luggage!) it would prove a nightmare. A perfect car around town, giving size and weight a proper little mover too!.
A Style icon. I had this car 3 years before I had to let it go, and it actually broke my heart. The car was due an NCT and as she had a bit of body damage, I couldn|t afford the bills, so a trade in was the only option. When I have a bigger garage, I will definately buy another 205 for fun times at weekends!.
192 bhp from a 1.8 is really something!!. Engine|s a real screamer. 8,200 to redline. Below 6,000 rpm is not really that dramatic and you start to wonder where that 28,000 euro went to. But hold on there and you will be rewarded with a firesome punch of power as you scream all the way up to redline. Although there is no turbo or supercharging, there is a small air pump mounted on the engine block and feeds into the inlet manifold, which helps with forced in induction. As for the rest of the car, brakes - fantastic, comfort - great, handling - good but doesnt really match the raucous engine..
Excellent Car. You would be very surprised how often you get the chance to get out with the top down. Fantastic in the Summer and with the Optional Hardtop its great all year round. Pity about the *Rip off Insureance* in this country. The Mx5 Owners Club is excellent. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for details..
I would never buy a Rover again as they are unreliable and I need my car every day....
Great motor. Insurance / Tax are ridiculous though. May have to sell it unfortunetley as a result. Not many of these cars about..
excellent car,but feels a bit light..
The 90-93 Celica in many people|s eye were the best built and I would have to agree. With its sturdiness and reliabilty its deffinatly worth the money.
5 years on and still a great car Belgard Motors have improved their service over the last year(2002).
Looks good, very economical, ideal starter car and is very serviceable. After that I would recommend upgrades..
Having driven much larger cars previously to this model. I find it is excellent around town. Great value for money.
Great car really. Expensive but worth it. Image is everything ...( Thirsty though).
A great passion wagon. you have the length in the LWB to get her nice and flat and comfortable...
I have done over 80k miles in this car and have had no major problems, just regular sevicing. Will be buying a 325 tds in the near future.
The car drives and handles very well. I had a 2000 vectra before and the improvements are noticeable particularly in cornering It|s not sluggish but it|s not an Impreza either, 3rd gear is very responsive to a heavy foot tho. 200 cc|s more than the old car and it doesn|t seem any thirstier.
Great performance and reliability, previous car was a BMW and I found the Audi as good performance wise but far more reliable. Could have more extras as standard though..
new model late 02 is a cracker, high comfort spec fab new toys bi zone climate control vdc, ebd.abs etc.
I|m a 22 year old student and I find it very cheap to run, easy to park, it turns and drives like the orignal Mini and looks great. This model comes with c/c bumpers, alloys, sunroof and a cd player as standard for €11,750. I find it better then my Fiat Punto I had before..
very quick but no head turner !.
Handels very well, Very impresive power in relation to engine size. A little bumpy on bad roads due to the 17* alloys..
Great car; shame about the dealer; let down in every possible way imaginable..
Leave asside the badge snobbery and you have argueably one of the best value for money cars on the road today. I have put c.40,000 mls. on the car in the past 2 yrs. and have never had a problem. I am changing car in Jan. 03...... to another Octavia!.
Very heavy manual gearbox. Very poor service from dealers considering prices charged. Does not hold value as well as it should..
If you can get insurance and want to spend over 35 grand on a Ford than this is for you. A baby Cossy in my opinion but serious performance at the same time. Half leather Recarro seats are so comfy - they just grip you into the seat around corners! Gorgeous hum the chrome exhaust, no sunroof, does have climate and no spoiler which for a 35k car is a bit disappointing...try Ford Insure for a quote, remains to be seen about how much it|ll be worth in 2 years though! You can however take pride in the fact that you|ll be sharing a model that only about 20-40 other boy racers will have too in this country anyway!.
There is actually a web site called mini2.com that anyone thinking of buying a mini should check out.
I|m eagerly awaiting the next piece of my car to die or fall off. Maybe I was spoiled with my last car (a 1.0L peugeot) that had 70k miles in 3 years and never gave me a days trouble. I|m waiting for a reply from Seat on why I didn|t get any kind of warranty on the exhaust, however I don|t think any kind of reply could entice me to buy another Seat. On the positive side, the car is comfortable and nice to drive, has good safety features and extras..
This car ran fine for a while but as the mileage got closer to 90k one thing after another started to go wrong. Although it has a list of things wrong - it has never failed to start........
This car ran fine for a while but as the mileage got closer to 90k one thing after another started to go wrong. Although it has a list of things wrong - it has never failed to start....... I will definately not be buying another FIAT....
I am very pleased with it. Its performance is excellent, both acceleration & and handling. It seems to be holding its value well although its hard enough to get a lot of info on prices e.g only one on your website. Ill know more when I try to trade/sell it in the New Year. On the downside its a bit on the thirsty side. Have Subaru any plans for a turbo diesel version..
great car, value for money, little short of rear leg room, would recommend this car to enyone boot space unreal ideal for sales reps or family with small children who travel and have to take the house with them (the internal smugness you get when people tell skoda jokes is cool) average 54mpg.
its a great car, lovely to drive, great acceleration, comfortable and you feel very safe in it. I would consider sticking to Audi|s after owning this car..
As small cars go, VW has one of the strongest bodies. Its reliable, economical, comfortable to drive and looks great. However, there is little in the way of extras as standard from the dealer and the interior is a bit too dark. ABS brakes should be standard as car tends to skid particularly in wet weather. Overall, I love it. and would definately recommend it to small car buyers..
Its a great car but the GPX (2L V6 MIVEC) is a hell of a lot quicker than the GS.
Stunning handeling, great performance(103bhp out of a 1.4 which is more than the 1.6 focous)looks, economy.Shame that their is only the 1.4 103bhp and 1.8vvc 158bhp avalible.Need more variety possibly the 2ltr td which is avalible everywhere except Ireland..
just did a roundtrip to the continent without any single problem ( 3500 miles).
When the weather is bad the 4x4 makes the car feel a whole lot steadier. I enjoy this car a lot and it has a large range of Suzuki accessories available to make the interior a little more livable. Engine performance, although 1300cc is quite poor but economic to drive. Though my insurance company punished me for the 4x4 tag..
Newer moels 2002 onwards got modified power management and feel livelier at lower revs. Try it boys, it going to be my next car.
Great shape. Comfertable and up-to-date instrument cluster layout.
Great car to own. The newer models 2002 onward has better engine CPU management chip reflecting a better performance. Try it out boys. Outstanding sound system..
Fast. Very fast. Handling is pretty good although I|d like to have a better feel of what the front wheels are doing. Traction control does a poor job of preventing front wheel spin. Paint quality is suspect. However, when you test drive this car you just have no choice but to buy it. It|s just so much fun to take out into the mountains early on a Summer morning. It gobbles petrol but you have to expect that from a 20 Valve Turbo. CD Changer is excellent, not a skip yet in 7000 miles. The only visual difference between this and a normal Leon are the small rear badge and the twin chrom exhausts. That prevents *unwanted* attention. Best car I|ve owned yet. Even more fun than the 3.8L Mustang I had in America. It is expensive to run. Insurance classes it as a sports car and I|m paying E3,500 per annum (28, no claims/hits, 3 years). Pretty exclusive as only a few have been sold. Boy racers go for the VW version (GTi) which has less power but is cheaper to insure..
Very reliable engine - no problems whatsoever (Fully serviced)..
dont buy one a heap of rubbish.
Very confortable over longer drives, but 1.4 lacks a bit of pick up at 50-60 need to be dropped a gear or two. 0 - 60 could be a bit better but the 1.6 would probably fix this, but I would recomend this car to any one.
Nice car to drive comfort being the main benefit air con very useful.
Slow from a standing start, but it|s nice to drop it down to 4th at about 60-70 and fly away form those boy racers. Can|t score dealer service as I get it serviced with a BMW specialist, great service half the price..
Underpowered, parts expensive, service expensive.
It|s a fantastic handler, but the 2.5 lump could use more bhp. Despite appearances, it|s very comfortable for long trips. There|s plenty of space with the two boots. Full boxster red leather on interior is very nice too, but the plastics are a bit cheap on a car of this price. Dealer service has been outstanding..
the car is perfect, no complaints at all......
Nice Shape & very comfortable 1.4 HDI XS very lively (I had considered buying the 2.0 version) Very economical & in the correct engine size for Tax & Insurance Plenty of front legroom (I|m 6ft 4|) I also love the gadgets (Rain Sensor Wipers & Automatic Lights). If you are a gadget freak you will love this car.
fast and grippy.
excellent car for long drives. very comfortable..
This car was my ideal first car. It was small, but not too small. A solid car that was comfortable at speeds of 70 mph.
Rock solid build, meets vast interior space. 1999 model rides well, but steering a little slow to react and, handing not sharp as one would wish for. Audio system delivers superb sound quality. Everything continues to work with great precision and I have ordered another A 6, this time a PD 130 ..
By far the best looking and most exciting car I have ever driven. Check the history and buy one the first chance you get. You wont regret !!.
I feel the car is great value for money, endless amount of gadgets standard on all 307 models. Only pity is it is hard to differentiate from the 1.4L and the 2.0L.(Could do with side skirts) and specific alloys as on the 307 D-Turbo|s. At present I drive the 2.0L diesel 90BHP in aluminium silver. Lacks power so I chipped it up to 112BHP, just ok now. Excellent road hold pity about the Dunlops in the wet I have no faith in them. Comfort, well I just have the car 9 months and have just crossed 28000 miles and all I can say is no issues(Back still intact). The ride is hard but that is better for the road holding, had the 406HDI really comfortable but rolls on the back roads.... Image could do with being given a set off side skirts and front spots in the bumper otherwise pretty only in the three door. One thing though since I got the car I must have been stopped by the Gardai 7-8 times and never done. So why... They sure like it even one searched the car for no apparent reason..(Not in Donegal) Interior good nice sporty chrome centre console and well laid out instrument panels. Loads of gadgets need I say. Fitted decent stereo and replaced speakers (Not a Boom Box just quality crisp sound) Reliability no issues Should be though. Dealer service excellent worth going to Kerry for a car. Yes I have ordered a new 307 110BHP FAP for the new year. Will be a decent drive when chipped up to 135BHP+ and still return 50 odd Miles per gallon..
Can|t get a good trade in against anything else. 29K from non jeep dealer 35K from Jeep dealer I like the car anything else in the range needs 25K worth of extras to match the GC.
Nice car but extras are far too expensive. Needs more extras as standard. Would definitely get rid of the large 4 spoke steering wheel.
GREAT to drive. Sure-footed. Looks a bit boring (although it isn|t). Very practical - especially for kids. Lots of clearance in doorways and space in cabin and boot. Well built - solid. Good equipment level. Good sound system. Economical on long runs on open roads - not great around town (but not the worst either). Nearly 2 years on and it still feels like a new car..
Very reliable and comfortable car, is a pleasure to drive. Salesmen and Parts Advisors in Lewis Opel in Portlaoise were more than happy to help me with my choice. Would definitely buy another car from them again!!!!.
Very comfortable car, excellent responses and lovely interior....
I have had this car for 2 years now and it has never given any trouble so far. Very well built car would take plently of hardchip and and seems like it would go forever. Only downside is its image is getting rather dated now..
1L engine ideal for starting off. At 70mph the car starts to shake a bit. Rear seats fold down to gibe BIG boot space. Only complaint is not enough cubby holes for storage..
It is one of the most comfortable cars by far in its class, I have yet to drive another car of its type that matches its comfort, road handling and performance. I am currently in the process of buying my second 406..
This is an excellent car, once you|ve owned on for a while you won|t want to give it up..
I bought the wagon model of the car, and I find that the space in the back of the car is not really great, there is not an awful lot of room to carry much luggage. Because of the shape of the car the angle of the boot at the back restricts the amount of luggage, or objects that can be carried..
1. Amazing gas mileage for 1.8 engine. 2. Very quiet engine. 3. Good suspension. 4. Awesome dealer service. 5. many more to list....
The most reliable car in its class - great starter car. Excellent resale value..
Solid and good value for money as long as you don|t have an image to maintain..
Great looker, great performer, the trademark |rattly windows| but that|s not why you get a car like this!.
Average car - reliable so far but uncomfortable and tinny. Build quality does not even compare to that of VW - car doesn|t feel like it will last for long and it has only covered 15k miles. High depreciation of 6k in the 1.5 years that I owned it. Looking forward to changing it in the new year..
Great car, excellent value for money as a pre-owned car (especially since the new C-class was released in late 2000), comfortable, classy, a little short on rear leg room and not exactly brimming with gagets and toys but an excellent reliable motor all the same. If buying a second hand C-class, my recommendation would be to go for one with all the extras already (CD changer, Sunroof, Alloys ..ect) and the golden rule, BUY AN ELEGANCE SPEC, The Elegance is far more luxurious and classier car than the Classic or the Esprit. Elegance spec includes Color coding, Chrome trim, walnut dash, nicer upholstry, clear indicators and much more..
its a good little car, its cheap to run and nippy and ideal car for a women but i dont think its macho enough for most men - ?.
Great value and good choice for Mom, Dad and 2.4 children if you don|t care about image. Otherwise get ready for the jibes..
This car has been trouble free since I bought it 2.5 yrs ago with 33000 on it. It has 95000 mls on the clock at the moment. Truly a brillant car & I look forward to the 530d Auto in the new yr..
this starlet is a jap import, i bought it for my wife in 1994 with 45,000kms. on the clock and she just will not part with it. it has 166,000 kms. done and the only part that has been replaced is the main beam headlight relay @ 25 euro !!!. the car still drives and looks like new. it is just not true, (in my case anyway) all that negative talk about jap imports, and parts being hard to get - what parts ??? I DONT NEED ANY.(i|m not a crasher of cars and i & my wife drive carefully) Idrive a mercedes c180 myself and that too is vy. reliable BUT A LOT more comfortable. The Starlet is in everyday use on rural school runs etc., etc., etc. & what MPG. - excellent..
If IMAGE is your thing, and not as mine is, pulling a horse around in a big box, then it|s the last word (xcept RollsRoyce maybe) then this is the car 4 u. But if you don|t need expensive repair bills and rip off part prices - BEWARE. Don|t get me wrong - it|s extremely comfortable and a solid car to drive, it also does good milage, 34MPG. constantly. The ABS brakes and power steering are simply the best - I|m 30 years driving, and I|ve never had brakes and steering like them. The boot is tiny, as small as an Almera|s. Tyres are average price,, but it goes thru them at an alarming rate (the alignment etc. all ok - checked recently) especially front tyres..
The boot is too small, as it cannot holder buggies, golf clubs and shopping - the Cordoba is a cheaper car but could hold all three. Not enough room in the back but a nice car to drive and adequate power..
Great performance, great looks..
Always loved golfs until I bought one. Love the look of them from outside. Very basic on the inside. Very disappointed in the faults with the car and not entirely happy with the service received when we bought it and returned it because of airbag problem. All round - would not be buying one again. I am the only person I know who has experienced a problem with a VW but it does happen..
up to date model....loads of extra`s...would like a quicker one....
Breathtakingly quick.... A pity the insurance is so high... need more of these cars about.
Dont buy one - dealer service is non existent.
A wonderfully thought out car for a driver and passengers but hampered by very poor main dealers with ridiculous servicing costs and a very poor ability to fix electrical faults. However find a good specialist dealer for fault finding and service it yourself and it is incredibly cheap to maintain..
Absolutley fantastic car. Extremely reliable, great drive..
The seating position is pretty good and the patented stereo controls are excellent, i|d be lost without them!! I know it|s a small car but you could barely fit an oompa-loompa into the back seat. Also it|s quite nippy and is a lot faster than other 1.2L cars i|ve driven. It|s just a pity that Renault haven|t improved more on their new model, otherwise I would|ve upgraded to it. Overall, it|s a good car!.
This is my second Micra and I love it. I would especially recommend it for someone new to driving as its a tough little car. Very comfortable for long distance driving and very economical on petrol. Not much room in the back for adults but thats what you expect from a small car. I think it|s very well finished with lots of extras as standard..
Its the most reliable of the 11 different cars I have owned. Pity about the sell on value.
I|ve had the car 2 years. Bought it from a friend who had it from new. The HT lead was broken by an incompetent mechanic, and the only other thing was the water pump at 112k miles. I|d absolutley recommend this car to anyone ... 117k miles on the clock now and still drives like new..
Very reliable car, quiet running engine, very comfortable interior. Looking forward to new model.
I think that its the best car I ever owned. It is more economical than your average 1.6 saloon, very lively on the road and extremely comfortable. The only fault I think is the typical dull plasticy Toyota interior. After making such a good looking car externally its a shame about the interior but if you can live with the interior there isnt much more to fault!.
I found my Civic on cbg.ie, and it was the cheapest one I could find for the year/mileage/model etc. Well worth the time spent searching for it..
I have found the car to be very comfortable and reliable as well as a real drivers car..
Great car, gets loads looks. Loads of power. The value I got for it was well worth it. Petrol consumption is very economical..
The car ran well for the first three years, then it was overheating and the head gasget blew (the first of many things to go!). I have found FIAT garages to be very expensive when it comes to servicing and quotes for parts. Their labour charges are astronomical in comparison to other garages. Other mechanics have warned me away from FIATs due to the fact that if something goes it can be one of many different things which are difficult to detect. Have no confidence in Italian cars any more!.
Perhaps, as the review says, the ability to take corners is a weak point, but otherwise, for what I got for the price, it|s an excellent jeep. Very very comfortable and loads of space, and the sound system is excellent. It might guzzle petrol, but it|s worth it!.
This car has been 100% reliable, had a 320I BMW before, no comparison. Major Kudos for the image, the Steptronic Auto box is superb, dont even consider the manual, The Climate control unit is good, the Bose hifi is very good although the CD changer in the boot is tiresome, prefer it in the car, seats four as its a 2 + 2, good for any speed...if in germany you will see 145mph. The four cylinder Komp is very quick from standing start. although will never be as smooth as a 6-8 cyl. All in all a great machine.
Not too sure how happy I would be if the problems to date (less than 1 year since purchase) were to happen outside of the dealer warranty period. Recommend if you are purchasing used Saab that you insist on a *Full* 12 month Dealer warranty. Otherwise, it|s a great car to drive and yes I would buy another one. Using most Irish roads, the tracking needs regular attention (3-4 times a year). If you don|t, then serious front Tyre wear is the only outcome and they|re not cheap..
I put 74,000 miles on this car. It was great for the first 2 years and then it started giving trouble. I had it serviced properly and on-time and never trashed it. The main dealers were very poor..
This is a great car. Performance actually improved as miles went on. Was broken into twice. Once very severely. Thieves were unable to break into boot & were unable to steal the car. Main dealer repair is poor. Main dealer service is poor. Find a Merecedes mechanic who knows what they are doing..
I would thoroughly recommend Leon to anybody..
Had a look at a golf. Found it very basic, so I had a look at a leon and was greatly surprised.Less money, more spec, nicer looking, and the same engine and chassis as the VW.Would not pass a seat now and would not look at one a year ago.Very happy withthe power and handling of the car.If I had 1 little fault it would be that for the money, a little bit more spec would help. But it still had more spec than the VW..
One of the best small cars I have ever owned. I was amazed by the economy and performance for such a small engine and more extras statdard tham you would get in a BMW.The engine is a jewel and the four speed auto box is one of the best you will get. My car is now going on three years now with not a single problem.Cheap road tax & Insurance and easy to park.Standard Extras:ABS/,P/Steering,El/Mirrows (that fold in by pushing a switch on the dash),Remote Fuel/Boot,C/Locking,Four E/Windows,Four air bags,Four/S/Radio Tape and more..
True Class for Fiesta money. Best kept secret ever!!.
Excellent model but has a high petrol consumption.
A serious head turner and lots of fun to drive. A lot more comfortable than I would have thought. Really cool interior with half-leather seats. Great to have an alarm due to public interest in car wherever I go. Cheaper to run compared to VW golf with same engine size..
Very Reliable and Economic.
Great car, can hang onto every corner without a blink. Now if only I could afford that Focus RS....
Not pleased to put it mildly.
Overall a very good middle of the range car. The 99 model which was the last of the *old look* Civics is subtly different from it|s predecessor, but is the best looking of the lot. The engine (1.4i) is a bit sluggish at low revs but has good acceleration at the mid range. Hence when over-taking (around 40-60mph), you tend to drop it into third for best acceleration. THe suspension tends to be a bit stiff, which gives it good handling but a relatively bumpy ride..
200 BHP, 0-60 6.5 seconds, t-bar, looks good, can|t beat it.
The build quality is excellent. I have driven a number of Octavias also, and have to say I still would buy the smaller Fabia. Interior of the Elegance model is much more chic and solid than the Octavia. Some really nice touches with chrome-effect gear stick, door handles, etc.. Engine perfmance and road handling is excellent. Great fun to drive!.
I love my fabia! The only thing that I don|t like about it is the interior. On my car which is the comfort version it is a bit old-fashioned. If I had the money next time I would buy the elegance..
should not have bought it as soon as it came out, all new cars have problems and this one is worse then that, ALWAYS TEST DRIVE BEFORE YOU SIGN EVEN IF IT IS OUT OF THE SHOWROOM at least then i would have heard the rattles. engine and mechanics of car are spot on , its just whoever was putting on the trim that day in the factory, wasn|t doing their job..
HAVE DONE 30,000 MILES SINCE BUYING CAR - ALREADY HAD 10,000 MILES ON THE CLOCK. HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS. PERFORMANCE OF 1.8 20V ENGINE EXCELLENT, PARTICULARLY ON MOTORWAY, BUT FUEL ECONOMY SUFFERS. TOW A 900 KG CARAVAN - VERY GOOD PULLING POWER. GOOD SPEC - BOUGHT CAR IN U.K AND CAME WITH AIRCON/ALLOYS AS STANDARD. VERY SYLISH CAR TO LOOK AT - STANDS OUT FROM OTHERS IN CLASS SUCH AS BORA, OCTAVIA. REAR SEAT SPACE POOR, BUT BOOT HUGE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED & GREAT VALUE PARTICULARLY COMPARED TO MECHANICALLY SIMILAR VW/AUDI MODELS..
It is a driver|s car a real [pleasure to drive -perfect for Irish roads, good or bad. It is a class act . It is too cramped in the rear for more than 2 people and the boot is narrow although it is deep and high..
reliable with good extras as standard.
Fantastic car except for a slightly hard ride (or bad roads).
Excelent Comfort. under-powered for size and weight.
2.0 engine brilliant but insurance horrendous for <30. Much quicker than other 2.0|s Handling and steering excellent. Ride a bit firm on country roads. Economy around town poor (22mpg), okay on long runs. Big depreciation from new, so buy used..
Bought with 60k miles, now has 120k miles. Only problem as stated above. Very comfortable for long journeys. Good economy. Sports seats are great. RT Sport has good spec (electrics and alloys etc..) Good ride and handling balance. Regular servicing key to longevity.
full bodykit very low mileage.
ITS A GREAT LITTLE RUN AROUND WITH PLENTY OF HEADROOM, WHICH IS GOOD ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN. VERY ECONOMICAL ON PETROL. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE WHO DOES ALOT OF CITY DRIVING..
Well hang up your running shoes and roll out the pipe and slippers because this car propels you into the horlicks and haemeoroid generation, albeit in some comfort. Still if cutting it at the 30 single something nite out is your bag you sure won|t impress in this one. 75 is the name and probably a good age to comtemplate buying one..
The leon is comfartable to drive and stylish, but the amount of problems i had in the last 18 months means i would never buy another..
This car was a complete surprise. It is just fantastic. Friends wondered why I did not go for a merc or audi and I said that they do not handel as well or are generally as good. Who needs a name when a car of substance is much better..
not parking friendly car front and rear.
good, solid, comfortable and economical car for high mileage driving.
Best car I have ever owned..
A bad buy, a bad experience, I would never buy a Passat again.
The car has been very reliable and is economical. The only problems have been a couple of blown bulbs really. If it felt more solid on the road I|d have no problem buying another but as I|m not a slow driver I|ve felt it lacks staying power on bends/sticky situations and although everything|s worked out it|s not good for confident driving. Also not great for overtaking..
Excellent performance for a diesel engine. Depreciation is very substantial.
all said above, only problem was with dealership, poor after sale service, but what|s new, could not get the first service, given the run around gave up trying.
Excellent car-about-city. fast off the mark, and you can park it on the head of a pin!.
The only good things I have to say about this car is the boot is huge, and there is a great stereo as standard..
Suspension is firm which I like but may not suit everyone. Nice handling and fun to drive..
I|ve had the car for 4 years and it was running perfectly up to a few months ago, but recently it seems to be falling apart. Any garage I go to says that it is a problem with Fiat cars. They are a great car for about 5 years but then fall apart. I can|t wait to get rid of it :-).
Traded her in for a lighter, newer model with less emissions..
Great budget 4 wheel drive vehicle. Good fun to drive. Shame no built in alarm to go with the immobiliser though..
Overall, I find the A140 a excellent car to drive and very good value for money. If you are thinking of buying a second hand car, check them out as they are very reasonable in price and hold there value. As with any Merc you will find servicing a bit o.t.t. but to retain the value ,a full service histroy is required.Fuel eco. is excellent and I know as I have had a number of 1.4 cars in my time. Overall an excellent car..
Performance is good, handling is good, the brakes are very powerful and safe (top marks for that), it looks great inside and out. My only grievance is that there are a lot of rattles inside the car (after 16000 miles). I|m sure it wouldn|t hurt Peugeot to screw everything down properly in the first place because it spoils what is a very fine car..
Looks good inside and out but all style and no substance. Absolute rubbish car..
1.4 is a bit underpowered..
A lot of car for the money. Second hand good value. A little heavy on petrol in the city.
Very Economical, returning 42 mpg on long trips, averaging about 36 mpg on short trips. Car feels very solid, handles well and has plenty of power..
Very comfortable, plenty of leg room for passengers, large boot. Good hum from engine after 80k..
Great car for the money e.g leather, air con, cd/tape,cruise control,4 electric windows all as standard..
Excellent fun to drive, great sound from engine, love to test drive the GTA..
A dangerous car due to the problem with the back wheels slipping... Keep an eye on the timing belt mine badly worn after 19k miles... Due to the back wheel problems I overturned this *4x4 * - the body was in bits, but it must be said the inside shell of the Vitara jlx held its shape and me! quite well......
ABS brakes are wonderful Air conditioning excellent if blower on full Interior quality is very high standard but drivers seat a bit uncomfortable. Yes I will buy one again, but only the 115BHP 90BHP is too slow.
Managed to write it off recently in an accident. Windscreen forward was a managled mess. Windscreen backward was untouched. Airbag never went off, I got out unscratched. No internal damage arounf the pedals. Buying another one ASAP. Boot very generous (2 sets of golf clubs and trollies!!). My ideal car!.
This car turns heads. Be prepared for admiring glances when driving through town. Also there is nothing like the thrill of driving this convertible on a summers day. Very fast and powerful car and being a Mercedes you know it|s safe..
Great drive, stunning looks.....dealers need a kick in the ass!.
An absolute gem of a car. Huge pity that you cannot get them in ireland anymore.
I got the car from a private deal so ignore my dealer rating. Bought it at 48k on the clock for 12k euros in Jan 02. My reasons for purchase were that I wanted a solid car with good fuel economy. I am very pleased and the fuel economy is deadly. I travel between Donegal & Dublin a lot, and 35 euros buys 610 miles-nice.
great looking car and like the interior big time!! all usual and new gadgets and easly to reach. i would buy another nissan but not an almera.
The sport is a great car to drive. It gives you a sense of security on the open road - its cornering is great. interior is a bit dull but other than that, its quite a good car..
Simply a brilliant car.It has the look|s & the performance to match. The leather is so comfortable, truely a drivers car! The selespeed system is amazing & and so easy & so practical to use..
better looking then the golf, economical 40 mpg ,should have got 1.6 75BHP is poor in cabin noise audible suffers sams downfall of every VW only 12 month warranty when new no extras are standard.
For a high performance low cost car the 600ti cannot be beaten. 200BHP, 0->60 in 7 seconds makes it faster than almost every 4 door saloon on the road..
Ultra reliable car - so solid its not funny and great performance..
it|s a great car especially with the 4 wheel steering and is fairly economical to run because of the good aerodynamics.
Fantastic car.I will deffinately buy a 2.0L T-Spark..
A little underpowered.
this car was bought with low milage and a fsh. I found it to be trouble from the start. i paid L10k for the car when it was 4 years old with 40k on it, since then i have spent L4k fixing it, it was and is a big dissapointment and I will never go for one again let me back to the japs they are better all over I think Ill go for a nissan, lexus or camry next time.
car is comfortable and secure on road when its not broken down.If you buy one make sure you join RAC..
Handbrake is very flimsy. Clutch burned out after only 15k.
Great value for money buying second hand.
Very happy with car (estate) but VW dealers know how to charge!.
not efficent on long journeys and uncomfortable to drive.
incabin noise like rattling happened after 14 months this is away to early for this to be happening cant imagine what the SDI/TDi are like. Very sluggish for a 1.4, p/s IS VERY HEAVY.DAshboard is the nicest of any car especially the blue lights..
The driving position is excellent as you can move the seat as well as the steering wheel to a higher or lower position. The radio/cassette has excellent sound and looks pretty good. The speakers are in the door panels but this doesn|t take from the look of the car. I love the new curved boot and my car also has the fog lights in front which give great light at night. This is the most comfortable car I have ever driven and I|ve been driving for years and years. This car starts every day with no trouble and in all sorts of weather conditions so it is extremely reliable. I would definitely recommend this car - and I DON|T work for Renault..
Good car to drive ,would maybe go for a higher engine size if I was buying one again..
It|s a great, solid feeling car with plenty of power when it|s needed. Well finished though the pillar between the windsreen and the side window blocks a bit of the visibilty. Nice car... managed 128 on the Port Laoise bypass before the penalty points system came in. The girlfriend loved it..
Its built like a tank, the engine sounds a bit tractorish but it never stops. I|d prefer to have a crash in it(god forbid) than any of the modern day, paper made, small car, mop buckets. Like a Fiat or some crap!.
I|ve done 130,000 miles, it never spat once. It has gotten very fast as it has loosened out. I held on to two pricks in a VW TDi at the lights and ran out of road at 110mph. A hell of a jeep. I had two Pajeros before it and they are smoky, whiny crap compared to this rugged horse of a jeep. Just waiting for new model coming out soon!.
Its so good of a car that, you might think petrol cars are lovely performers. It has more torque than the 535i V8 and one thing is for sure, i|ll have a lot less visits o the petrol station. A rocket of a machine. The auto box changed nicely into 5th gear at 120mph. The future is in diesel!.
Unbelievable every day super car..
its a lovely car to drive comfortable not the most involving drive nice and comfortable not a real drivers car found a new fiesta to be more driveable !!!.
The car is a pleasant drive Comfort is high, very easy to accommodate too. I had the car tested on a rolling road to try and find a clue to solve problem myself, power was down, maxing not at the correct RPM, Torque falls away very quickly after 2000RPM we await peugeot response! and wait! I thought i was buying an excellent car, it seems i thought wrong..
Very safe, 6 a/bags , steering, brakes brilliant, most reassuring abs I|ve ever used, great snob value at any age, buy a black one if you can, interior dark , good experience all round . don|t care for the radiophone, you need to transfer your sim in/out as needed, it|s a pain and reception poor anyway, very satisfied owner overall..
Great car. Just keeps on going no matter what abuse you give it. Peugeot dealers were reluctant to offer me the same trade in value that non Peugeot dealers had offered. And one Peugeot dealer told me he could not sell the car on to a buyer although my car was immaculate. Pretty rotten Peugeot people..
It has a great sporty look and is one of the biggest in its class. It is a car with attitude - perfect for city driving and amazing for long distances. Ignore anything you have been told about smaller cars - this is in a class of its own!.
Excellent fuel economy! Good looks and definitely impressive on the open road. Interior lacks that definitive quality element but overall, it|s not a bad motor..
All round great car. A lovely drivers car and recomend the Auto Steptronic transmission for best of both worlds. Not as expensive as you might think to run..
Fantastic comfort, looks and power throughout all the gears. I would recommend the 130bhp version. Very little exterior noise and ride is comfortable at all speeds. Interior is top quality with very good 10 speaker sound system. Nice touches including self locking doors!.
This is a super car with excellent cruise and performance.
Bought the 320i second hand from approved BMW dealer. The best decesion I have ever made in 18 year of driving. Performance more than adequate, steering light but positive. I tend to switch of the ASC+T in good weather car seems to handle better. All in all the best car I have ever driven..
It drives well but a 1.0L engine is not powerful. My mechanic informs me that he sees more Opel Corsas than any other car even taking into account that it|s a big seller. I was unhappy with the weakness of the exhaust.
I have had the car for over 4 years and have had no problems, It has started in Freezing cold, snow rain. The one complaint I would have is that the Automatic choke is a little heavy. Exceptional power for the engine size, brilliant handling, and really enjoyable car.
I have this car from new (1998) with 82000 miles on the clock. To date I have had absolutely no problem whatsoever with this car, apart from a new battery and two light bulbs..
It was a car that I had wanted for 2 years but as you can see from the above I have had a bit of trouble , while the service dept was alright most of the time a four month wait for the wheel bearing to be fixed . I also feel that the cars don|t really hold their resale value.
fast safe comfortable.
Bought as a used import with 12K and it was like new. It still is and I have not even put as much as a bulb into it--totally terrific. Paintwork is equal to a 1999 car and it still gets loads of looks. It|s coming up to 100K this month so its time to change for another Honda. However, I|m reluctant to part with it. Mechanic at NCT said, *You don|t push it all I|d bet* And he was right....treated with TLC..
The car is heavy on petrol, the steering lock is not great when parking. The car is like driving on rails it goes where it is meant to go..
Brilliant car, quite nippy. Mpg very good. Boot Cd player is the only thing the car is missing..
I have had the car for nearly 3 years and in that time I have accumalted 81000 miles. I have had 3 major problems. The problem with the wiper fuse blowing was the result of a stripped wire at the steering rack. This was fixed by the dealer under warranty. The second problem has been with the Immobiliser. It would not switch off therefoer the car would not start. The last problem was with the air filter sensor which need to be fixed. Everything that has been replaced has been fixed under warranty. One could argue that I have had a fair fwe problems with the car but it has covered 81000 miles and I will defy any one who can keep a car with that amount of miles without any problems. When I do buy a new car I will have no problems buying a new one..
Car is a little too expensive for what it offers - You need to spend the extra 1200 Euro for the comfortline pack, which greatly enhances the car. The economy and power is superb and I would definitely consider buying another..
The car was very comfortable. I was glad I went for the saloon version afterwards, it had an extra style a charisma about it, above the hatch. Everyone called it my |executive car| as it looked so well. It definately looks a lot more expensive than it was. With regards to speed, I would regularly be on the M7 and it was a breeze to just whip up and down it. You never really felt you were going fast inside the car. The car is very comfortable, though I would say the leg room in the back is not quiet as much as you would expect, though bear in mind it is a polo and not a Bora or Vento. All in all the car is a joy to own..
Great value .A real GTI .A bit Noisy on Motorways though.Fantastic handling ,like a gocart for the road .Highly Recommended.
Very good car, had a suzuki alto as my 1st car then the cultus, moving on to a cultus GTi next..
1. Changed from 1994 BMW, serious increase in comfort 2. Very Impressed with the noise levels 3. Some issues with the functionality of the stereo doesent appear to be the most intuitive of systems 4. Noted Earlier Review with respect to tracking, intend taking this advice! 5. Circa 20% higher Fuel Consuption than BMW (1.8 litre).
Great car to drive and very fun. The interior is brilliant and very plush..
Super handling, comfort and looks. Very quick!.
Very, very comfortable car. Super handling..
When I bought this car I though it looked the business, and would perform accordingly, unfortunately I have been back at the dealership twice a month since I bought it. I have been told that the problem with my car, will not be able to be sorted out until the summer of this year, it will be over a year old then!. I dont think I should not have had to wait over a year for a company the size of Hyundai to sort out faults with their products..
Very assured driving around town. Parking is a doddle. Quick off the mark. Brakes well, especially in the wet. The wide tyres help with grip but as a result tends to tram-line a bit on subsided roads. Snappy and easy gear change. Holds a 7 foot Christmas tree with ease:-). Stiff suspension adds to the fun ride but makes bumps and speed-bumps feel twice as big as they actually are. Hope they improve the seats in the new 2003 model. AirCon is a god sent during Summer..
Comfortable driving position. Tidy around country back roads, very soft suspension doesn|t help when braking hard going down hill. Radio control on steering wheel is very very basic. Steering wheel is very big, small turning cirlce. Dash is soooo plain. When driving at 60mph in 5th car feels like it needs a 6th gear. Gear ratio|s all wrong, no wonder there|s no rev counter. Who needs a clock tha big on their dash? Clutch pedal is way too tight and has been loosened a number of times. €3,000 two years ago, was a bargain but pain to look after since..
Solid , good build quality ,I like the feel of the stearing , just heavy enough to know what is happening . Feels like I have only bought it yesterday ..
These are costly cars but they have a solid build, a great feeling of security and very comfortable on a long run. Will change for a newer model soon as mileage is now 42K and I|m not sure how reliable these cars are when you get up to the higher mileage, unlike the Japanese cars..
Although this is a rare Luna model for it|s year, the car still has a cheap feeling inside, particularly the seats, which become uncomfortable after about an hour. On the positive side, it|s very reliable, very economical, has acceptable performance and does what|s it|s ultimately supposed to do i.e. always get you from A to B..
heavy on petrol but fun to drive estate car with the feel of a sports car.
I|ve had the car now for 2 years, it has been a dream to drive, I|ve put up 60,000 on the clock and I|m looking forward to doing the same again over the next two years, and so on. The comfort this car delivers is fantastic. In quiet a few years time I|ll be buying another S40..
A great car. I had this car for over a year and put up 20,000. I can honestly say I didn|t have one problem. Cheap to run. Performance is good for it|s class..
I bought this car thinking that it would be great value for money, I had it two days and the engine started giving me trouble, then the gears, both of these were replaced. No sooner had the warrenty ran out and the same happened again, the engine, then the gears. It|s costing me a fortune. I have started doing long trips lately, and after more then an hour in the car I feel crippled. At this stage I feel like scrapping it and just getting another car. A friend of mine has similar problems. If you do one good deed this year, it will be to steer clear of the curse of the punto.
The car drives well and is very comfortable, but is very prone to things going wrong, and very expensive to fix..
The car is nice to drive and handles well. The resale value of the car falls very rapidly..
perfect car the other reviewer`s said it all.
It|s about the most spacious car in its class , very comfortable ,and fairly good on petrol considering the engine size..
Come on Renault, time to fit ABS as standard..
When I decided to buy a GTI I discovered there weren|t too many actually available, and CBG and dealer lists usually were slow to reflect what cars garages actually had in stock (I|m still waiting for a call from one garage that purported to have two in stock). But it all came good when I lucked out and found exactly what I was looking for. 180bhp in a golf sized body makes for a hugely powerful car. The first weekend I had it I couldn|t wipe the grin from my face. (I|m told it changed my personality when driving). The ride is very firm on bad roads, and that|s the only gripe really, but you don|t hear me complain when I throw the car into a corner with wild abandon. The 1.8 engine has loads of poke through the gears, and the turbocharger, well, you know that bit in star wars when they make the jump to hyperspace, it|s a bit like that. The interior spec is excellent, (heated)leather seats and steering wheel, the heating in the seats has become a particular favourite on cold mornings , the only gripe about the interior is the |wood| trim which I don|t particularly like. The car loves to be driven, certainly the most fun I|ve ever had in a car, while actually driving it that is..
Overall i would not refer anyone to a brava that the year is 96 ,in which it won car of the year but thats only my opinion which counts with me..
The Limited Edition version is a beautiful car, but at the current price, of over €15k the least it should have is electric windows and a CD player. It|s extremely comfortable on long journeys, but style wise, I miss my first Colt, a basic model in 1989 which seemed like a bigger, more attractive car. I am probably going to switch to a Hyundai next as the Lancer is not quite stylish enough, although I could be persuaded at the right price! Hello dealers!.
Good road holder. Economic..
steering very heavy when parking.
Nice lively car to drive. very economical. steering a bit light. Radio could be a lot better.
It only cost me 7500 euro on the 10/02 so it wasnt the most expensive car but I wouldnt buy one again..
Good looker, but not worth the money. Does not hold value and can cause no end of bother..
Fabulous to drive. Great handling, acceleration & braking. Looks & sounds more expensive than is. Looks are timeless. Needs interior touch ups as regards trim..
Generally a good car. Good value for purchase cost / very poor resale value..
This was a japanese import from Merlin Motors which I bought in 2000. It has been a dream ever since and so have Merlin Motors. Thinking of getting a newer model but dont want to give up this baby..
Great space for a family, loads of room and no arguing betwen the kids. fantastic value compared to similar people-carriers!.
Brilliant on bumpy roads in the west, Cuts through floods on roads without a bat. Can throw through coners lika a car, real fun. Very secure with great visibility at night. Very impressive off road. Very sweet engine great mid range pulling power but low down torque not good, can stall easily, under body clearance not great. Excellent service from dealer..
Pleasure to drive and will go forever on a full tank of diesel (~550 on a tank worth €37-38). Would be a great buy new if VW would start to introduce some extras as standard. Electrics were very expensive to have installed whenI bought it..
easy & comfortable to drive great turning circle when parking.
Very enjoyable to drive both in city & on long drives. Good visibility, lovely gearbox, peppy engine, plenty power for overtaking, safety features give secure feeling. Ride in back a bit firm. Has got all extras including that huge louvred sunroof which we use a lot. Overall a great package..
fantastic performance from vtec with v. good fuel eff. u must drive 1 of these car|s b 4 ya die . i;m never getting rid ..
Not bad for first 20000 miles then problems started 1 thing after another. The bad reliability rumours are true. A nightmare to own then to get rid of. Lost a fortune - never again..
WILL NEVER BUY A PUNTO AGAIN.
very responsive, lots of torque.
excellent!!!! best beamer basher out there!! more comfortable to drive than 3 series and less painful to own,as 3 was most unreliable. Excellent engine, brakes and handling. Turn off traction and tail slide out with out much provoke!! Whooo Hooo! toyota really got it right with this one!!.
What is it about MB? They really don|t give a damn about anyone. OK, their cars are great, but wait until you need something; everything takes three weeks from Germany. They don|t even try to look concerned. Well, I|ve had enough. It|s a shame, |cos I|ve always wanted one, and the level of comfort is better than my living room!!! but I|m not willing to put up with shoddy customer service any more. The worst days work I ever had was selling my rediculously reliable Mondeo; I think I|ll go back!.
Fine for commuting to and from work..
Superb interior for the price, and since they are not expensive a great buy for a first car..
Lots of power. 55 mpg. Very reliable. Cheap to buy ..
Car looks great! feels great!, excellent gadgets for the child in you, but when you spend nearly 25k euro on a new car you expect it to be near 100% reliable. The car has been back in the garage twice, and each time I was supplied with 2x down-graded car without a drop of petrol in it, the aftersales service from the dealer in question very poor. (Tallaght) Maybe I got a ||bad apple||, but DO BE CAREFUL where you buy one............
Excellent value for money car. If you can get over the fact it|s very boring it will do what it|s supposed to..
Be very careful about buying this car as you may get stung on the re-sale. The Alfa dealers are all to glad to sell you one but they don|t want it back. They demand over the book price for used 156|s but wont offer you next or near the book price for your own one..
good with faults mostly the fault of the dealer.
You do get the feeling of driving a superior car which you expect to get when you shell out the money for a 318 tds. Engine will go on and on and on and on..
Its true what they say about Toyotas - you can stake your life on their reliability. I|m saving for a Landcruiser that I am going to drive to South Africa!.
dealer service=brutal comfy rig to drive service req|d every 6000 miles electrical gremlins from day one! get the grand cherokee, with automatic, air con and leather next time! plenty of space for storage good riding position brakes are excellent.
Bought car with only 25k on clock a year ago for €11k privately! Was going to buy a BMW 5 series - glad I didn|t. A serious car for the money - lovely to drive. 2.3l Turbo engine and wood/leather interior beatutiful..
Great performance for the money. Build quality could be better. Relatively cheap to run..
Probably one of the most comfortable cars I have driven. A bit more in the way of interior spec. option availability would be preferable..
This is my 5 Volvo. Can|t get awy from them I|m afraid. Over-all this is a superb motorcar. I have the new diesel model. I find the car very safe, reliable and economic. If only Volvo would take a leaf out of their competitors book and supply a better bottle holder. Better still leave the damn thing out. I would like to see Volvo supply an intergrated wiring system for the mobile phone. My last car was equiped and it left life easier when I was installing my hands free kit. Over-all I cannot fault the car. I am looking forward, the next time to custom ordering my replacement model..
overall a very good car but boot space limited and please bmw give us a drinks holder..
pre 1998 lagunas are a ball of scrap. i am currently driving a 1995 and am look ing for a diesel car but wouldnt buy a renualt i feel let down by the car.
Car is lovely, pity the service and dealership is so bad. The only thing that would stop me buying one of these is that I|ve had a bad dealer experience and cannot rely on the car or its build quality.
I`ve put 54K on this car with no major problems, i used to be a total toyota person but the punto beats them hands down for looks and value for money.Strongly considering changing up to the stilo. An extremely nippy car for it`s size..
Have been more than happy with it, it goes link a tank with a rocket strapped to the back, nice safe car, thats also comfortable and nice to drive. You can pick the older ones up pretty cheap and there is alot of car for your money, heated seats etc come pretty much as standard and are nice on winter mornings. Im happy with mine :).
I gave up trying to get the baby seat info from the dealers here, so had to take a half a shop|s worth of seats out to the car to get one to work. Blaupunkt stereo console is rubbish - the controls are crap - my Renault Scenic has a better system. This car needs Tiptronic, but they say it|s not even on the cards for the turbo models, and anyone for a 1.8T 180bhp diesel?.......yesh pleesh.......
Skoda recommended by a friend - very pleased with it so far and would recommend Skoda to anyone who wants value for money and reliability.
Has to be the ultimate sports coupe, outrageous styling, superb performance, Its just a feel good car! Why did I sell it???.
Great alternative to the common 4x4|s, i.e. Pajero. Fully loaded with all the extras, Could do with more power, but most of these 4x4|s never go offroad so its not a problem. Highly Recommended.
brilliant starter car i have just 100000 miles on the clock and it still starts first time. Its built like a tank and i have passed it on to my sister. Its true that toyota are the best built cars in the world.
very economical car plesure to drive.
Super car, very comfortable, high standard spec. quattro worth the extra money..
Performance and handling is excellent, really pleasant surprise - a driver|s car. Image is a bit |family-man| for me, but the look was great when it first came out. Considering the coupe version now..
Beautiful handling , great grip on the road, Good on MPG.
Ideal first car. Kicks the standard 1.2 8v/16v model, quite nifty for a standard diesel. Lots of room in the back..
Definitely a driver|s car. Very willing and well balanced. Low profiles hug the road. 1.6litre motor very suited to this body. Well loaded with goodies to help while away the trip..
Excellent value for money.
i would not buy another gti.
Not a particularly fast car:- 2200cc, 16 valve DOHC, 150 BHP. It|s a lot of car for a smallish engine. Engine is particularly harsh when pushed:prefers to be driven slow. Rear diffF whines with age. Fuel economy is pretty good. Sits well on 17 * AMG wheels. Top money second hand reflects the huge price when new. A rare sight on Irish roads, most are UK imports. Buy one and you are guaranteed exclusivity and a classic look that does ages well. Was designed for the US market in 1987. Will never depreciate to tiny money, unlike its 4 door (ex taxi!) sibling. Build quality flawless. Will definitely impress the neighbours. 89/90 models start at approx €6500 rising to €19000 for a mint 1996 model. Prices have softened as second hand clk|s are getting cheaper by the day with the arrival of the brand new model. Look for post 1993 facelift models, twin airbags, alloys & ABS. Leather a must. Condition of drivers seat a good indicator of mileage. Expect moderate wear after 60 k miles. Full history a must. Go on, spoil yourself!.
Brakes are poor steering light, but fast enough take off for a small car, seats were comfortable, but Reliability is the main problem.
car a bit too heavy for 1.6l engine. Good thing as it would stop you losing your licence. Great to drive !!. Would buy another one . Has soul/ character compare to other makes ie german for example.
Engine needs to be work to get any performance. Starts first time everytime. Good interior/ boot space. Well equipped..
great fun car, fast, good looking and handles excellently, not a family car.
Very versatile. Excellent family car.
it is not comfortable and has no power in fourth nor fifth gear.
Superb car. Great performance and all round driving comfort. Nearly 7 yrs old now and reliability is excellent.
Nice solid car, pretty good performance, though a significant turbo lag. Nice interior finish, good Recaro seats which are no longer included on newer models. But given the spartan specification I would have expected better reliability/build quality from the few features it does have..
This is a fine car for someone seeking reliability married to economy. The cars does an amazing number of miles on a full tank. The interior is a let down and is basic. The ride is comfortable, and performance is not bad. All in all a satisfactory car..
great car really reliable, comfortable and a fun car to drive.
incledible performance! a sheep in a wolfs clothing!.
avoid like the plague.
